howdy weigels! Ok I'll be the first to admit I was one to say there's no reason not to stay in touch on here and then I forgot about it for a while. I've been meaning to get on for the past several days but then every time I checked my email or bank or whatever I forgot what else I wanted to do, which is come here.
I skimmed the last few messages so I probably missed a lot that maybe I'll read later but haven't yet.
Shay, sorry about the stress fracture. Ice and heat should help?
Tammy, report the @SS!!!! Either he was having a bad day personally and took it out on you, which certainly happens, or he's a big meany head (sounds like something a Paradeis kid would say) and he wouldn't have a clue who reported him because he's probably a jerk face (another Paradeis term) to everyone. And it sounds like the general stereotype of troopers is that they are not the nicest although I can't personally say from experience.
Did everyone have a good Easter? I went to Jeannie's; we had prime rib, bbq ribs, creamed carrots, cheesy hashbrowns, shrimp, eggs, carrot cake...all the goodies. No ham or candied yams though.
So I get to see Brea this weekend...goin' to the rodeo, yee haw! I told her I don't have any shit kickers and she said that's ok, she doesn't either and they'll take our money just the same. :) I think there should be some type of hillbilly dress code. I think I get to borrow one of Blake's cowboy hats so I'll feel better with that. ;)
So my daddy-o is having a pig roast (speaking of hillbillies, grilling a whole pig is a little country, right?!) in six weeks or so when the house is finished. Can't wait. I love pork. Just kidding. :) Actually I do love pork, and the last time we did that was his 50th bday and it was crazy good, but I'm really looking forward to the house being done. I've never seen that house without it being in the middle of a project. Anyway, it'll be a huge soiree so I'm sure some Weigel presence will be required.
I think all else I have is about the 3day...I think you all know we are doing that since it is Brea, Jessi and I and from the looks of it, only Tammy, Kathy and Shayla Rae see this and if you three don't know about it then I have some teammate butt whoopin' to do. Anyway, we need $$ and we need help. We are thinking up some cool things to raise the money other than by just asking for the money. I told Jessi to reconnect with her girl scout roots. :) So here's the thing, we each need $2200. If a person wants to make a donation, the best thing that we can pass around is the team page link. http://08.the3day.org/goto/walkinweigelwhippersnappers When you go to it, you will be forced to click on one of our names and then you can see what donations we have each received (by clicking on each name) and then a donation can be made to any of us. The objective is to have people look at all three and then donate to the person with the lowest funds at that time. So, if you want to throw some money at us, feel free, ;) or if you are all good at this kind of thing and have some ideas, throw those our way. We need 'em. Connie suggested making all pink bracelets; we could make them for about $3/ which is oodles cheaper than her investment in "Lu's Beads" or Lu's Beads, Barry Edition" (not its formal name). I'm hesitant to do that because I'm not good at selling them; I know a lot was raised for mom and a lot has been raised for Barry too but Connie knows the right people I guess. I'd have to try to sell them on ebay or something. So I am thinking about sending a chain letter to the few people I know by email and ask them for $1 and ask them to pass it along to everyone they know to see how many people will donate $1 for breast cancer and just put the team link in the email. What does anyone think of that?
Oh yeah, Tammy...didn't read it all...anything happen yet with the HR job??
That's all from me today, as if it's not enough. Hope you all are well. Happy yappin' at ya'll. Still my new favorite word. :)
