Hey Hey!
I just came here to celebrate the fact that I have graduated, and to remind you all that my graduation party is coming up. It's on the 7th, from 1-5, for those of you who missed the memo last time. I hope that all of you can come and celebrate with me! It will be fun, I'm sure. There will probably be Shanghai and other Weigel related activities. So yeah... That's all for me, I guess.

jen here
hey weigels! so far my plan is sort of on schedule, well at least I got out of work a little early. I have absolutely nothing ready to go so I need to pack and also figure out what i'm putting in the sale. I am planning to leave here at about 7 and go up and stay at my dad's and then I will be at kathy's in the AM. Look forward to seeing everyone tomorrow!
oh yeah also I was thinking we could do root beer/orange floats tomorrow since it should be such a nice day...but I can figure that out when I'm up there and go get the goodies sometime tomorrow
Kathy, if you see this tonight and need anything from me, give me a call. I don't know what that would be but if you think of anything let me know!

This is so fun!!!
Hey Shay... enjoy your night and safe travels to you! I look forward to seeing you this weekend! Your 94 Saturn may be a yr older than mine but it has about 30K less miles.
Jen, sounds like you have quite a bit on your plate already...don't worry about my stuff. I'll put whatever I can in my car. The only big things are the chair (I think I can take it apart) and the small printer stand. The other stuff is small and should fit around it. I know what you mean about the gas; even with good gas mileage, it's a shocker to fill up my small tank for $30 (it was less than $10 when I first got my car). I don't think I could handle a bigger tank at $50+ per fill-up!! Might have to think about getting a bicycle:) I don't want you to have to make any extra trips; your weekend sounds crazy busy but it will be nice to see you-if only to say "hi".
Well, Lu, I made it over to RiverCenter today for the StarTribune Job Fair. It was nice to actually talk to real people and I gave resumes to anyone who'd take it. The responses I got seemed positive, and May 28th is the big job fair at the MCC. Something should come along:)
Hope everyone is having a good week and that the Memorial weekend will be a fun and safe start to a warm summer season. Thanks for the warm welcomes on the blog, it's lots of fun...
Later...

this and that
hey all, like I say, this and that...so let me start by saying that it is really annoying to me that at random times coming here I have to enter my user and pword to post and that stinks because I have it set to remember me, I guess sometimes it just forgets, and then I'm not expecting it and have to try to remember my stupid password which is very easy but takes up a few seconds that I just don't have!!! Adrian came in the door from work and seems to have this huge work disaster that he is trying to clean up so he has been on the phone with several people, some all at once, trying to fix what someone else screwed up and the tension in this house it THICK and I think his mood right now is rubbing off on me. Should make for good conversation this evening if the poor guy can get these people off of his phone.
OK next - I skimmed the last few posts and I use the term lightly, I'm sure I missed a lot of posts and missed a lot of the ones I read, but I think I got the basics...
Pam, welcome aboard! You know I have a huge SUV now (ha ha...it's like the smallest suv they make!)...unfortunately mike and connie are sending some stuff up with me, not sure what so I don't know if I will have room to help with your stuff as well. I'll try and figure it out and let you know asap, I'm still workin a mile away from your house so that part could not be more convenient! My dad also has stuff for me but he is close enough to kathy's where I could go to kathy's and then back to my dad's for his load, if necessary. Two years ago I would have done that no questions, $4/gal now, takes a little more effort to avoid!! :)
Shay glad you are home if you are home!?!?
Mom no we do not need to set anything up for WM. I will be home for three full days but feel like there is no time for anything. and my weekdays/nights this week are crazy busy.
and I haven't lifted a finger on dad's house and now it is almost done so I want to be able to put in a little time and effort there this weekend too, and then adrian is coming up on sunday for sun and mon so I'm thinking saturday is the best day for me to do the garage sale?? Not saying KATHY that you need my help but it probably wouldn't hurt...so here is what I am now tenatively thinking, I will probably come up friday, try to sneak out of work a hare early, bring stuff up to kathy's, crash at dad's, bring dad's load to kathy's saturday (if need be) and spned some time there Sat.
TJ hope the classes are treating you well, I'll try to read everything another time, or here's an idea...SEE and TALK to everyone this weekend!!!!!! :)
later kiddies! and yappers!

Wahooooooooooo!
So I'm pretty much all set for the big move tomorrow. I found a car yesterday. It's not as great as I was hoping for. It's a 94 saturn, and it only has 110,000 miles on it. I bought it for 1300, which is totally reasonable, but I've been so spoiled with that really great subaru that Jesse and I bought since it drives like a dream and is a 98. So I think that maybe when I get home, I'll keep looking for a newer car and sell this one for what I bought it for and then I got a rental car for free out of the deal. But the important thing is that I found one. I was having the hardest time just finding someone selling a car that talked to me like a reasonable and honest person on the phone, or spoke English decently. So when I got a hold of a nice 50 year old woman out on long island who has kids my age and picked me up and dropped me off at the train station I knew on my way out there that I was going to buy her car. Just because she was a real person. And the car is certainly good enough for the long drive and even the whole summer if I choose to keep it that long.
And today we packed up everything, and threw it in the corner. The way it is now, it looks like it would all fit into the saturn. So here's hopin'. I've been relatively wrapped up in making arrangements today but when I just sat down and read my mom's last blog about the kitties and the garage sale it put a big grin on my face( And if I'm able to get all my stuff sorted out right away when we get home, I should have a truck load of stuff to donate to the sale) And now I'm SO excited.
I'm going out for dinner with my friends tonight at Bella Luna (the place I took mom and Lu and Gramma and co. to when they were visiting) cause it's my favorite. Then I'm going drinking for a couple of hours on restaurant row, cause that's where I worked so I need to make my rounds and say goodbye to all the local drunks and my fellow former employees (also local drunks). It should be a great night, then tomorrow it's off to pick up our car then load er up and hit the road! I'm guessing we'll make it into Brainerd sometime late on Thursday night. Feel free to call if anyone gets bored cause we'll just be driving. We're planning to spend the night somewhere in Ohio. But who knows, maybe we'll be so pumped with excitement that we'll just plow straight through. We'll see.
Can't wait to see you all.
Love ya,
Shayla

yikes
Hello all- Garage Sale is approaching fast. Ooodles to do. And a busy week besides at school. Glad to see you are gathering items. I'll get the ad in this week and work on getting tables here and signs made, etc... I am very pleased to see lots of plants coming up again that I dug out last year. So I should have lots of plants to sell. I did Lisa's gardens yesterday and she donated lots of hostas and sedam. Should have a nice variety of things. I am hoping the weather is nice so we can really make it a yard sale. If we can have tables all over the yard it helps attract customers, I think. Then we can just haul the tables into the garage at night.
I'm very excited about Shayla coming home soon. Kittens are playful now. They follow you around. They're like little ducklings. Just say hello and they all come trailing behind you. They are so cute. They are four weeks old today.
I am going to keep this short, as I have to clean the house, the flower gardens, do a little garage sale prep and get laundry done yet today, and it is already two in the afternoon. So... etalk at you later. -Kiash

Pam, welcome aboard. It was good to hear from ya. I am doing an on-line medical billing and coding course. When all is said and done, I will recieve a diploma. Right now, I am struggling to research 4 questions on Hipaa. Each question has to be a paragraph or two. I can answer each one with a few sentences. I am having a hard time with all the info. I pull the site up and wow! There is so much to look through to find simple info that I already know but not in enough detail. So, Lu, that's how that's going. I have not finished it yet, but still plugging away. Can't ya tell? Actually, I just rewrote the info I already have, and it's getting there. Not there yet though. But, I jumped over the research project and took my final for this unit and got a 94. So now, I have turned in 8 tests and am sitting at 95. Computors is next. It has been shipped, so I should be getting it any day. The first 3 or 4 units, i just did off the computor but now that shipping is caught up to where I'm at in the course, I have found it to be alot easier to use the books. Besides, I have dial up so anything extensive takes quite a while to download. I don't really need all that stuff taking up space on my computor when I have the books on the shelf. Either way works but i liked having the book for this one. So, I will keep plugging away and I'll get it done. The research one that is. I have not yet dug my stuff out for the sale. I spose I should get on that too. I don't have much. I will bring the table though. If you decide not to sell it, you can take it back. I definately am not using it other than to throw stuff on. I don't need it. Besides, I want to get a little freezer and have no where to put it. Jessi had me over for brunch last weekend and I took some suckers to sell for her. She texted me fri to see how sales were going and I ran to the store to get colors and markers to finish the display box. Sorry Jess! The box is ready and I will take it to work today. Hopefully it will go good. I work with a bunch of kids so it's not gonna reach any goals but every little bit helps. I plan to take it to Kathy's this weekend too so we'll get some sold. Anyway, I spose I should get back to my research. I have an hour before I go to work. See ya all this weekend. Lu, it's bingo this Tuesday. Yap at ya all later.

Hi!!
Hey, it only took 1 blogger error and I got to the site:) Thanks Lu and Kathy for access to the blog! I've never been on a blog; after reading through a few of the most recent entries, it sure saves a lot of time in letting people know what's going on!!
I've been pulling some things together for Kathy's garage sale next weekend (yikes...already!!!). I hope to be able to fit it in my car, but was wondering if anyone going up from here in the cities might have extra room? I have a chair and (printer or micro) stand that I want to take up and I know the chair will not fit unless I take it apart. Are you selling any clothes? If not, I'll take them over to the church sale or goodwill.
What days are you planning for the sale? When did you want me to come up? I know that you're also selling the bracelets...I have some beads, so will try to put some together. Are you planning anything else...like a bake sale or ? , that I could make quick here at home? Let me know!!
Shayla, I'm so glad you'll be home for the sale...I'm looking forward to seeing you again!!! Drive safely and enjoy the trip:)
Hey Tammy, what classes are you taking now or in the future? I might have some info left from my classes...I remember having all those papers to write. I always did well on them but not without a lot of mental anguish and writer's block that kept me up late hours, completing at the deadline. Right when you feel good about having it done another research paper is assigned; before you know it you're done and graduating!!!
I've been thinking about trying to put together a "Family Cookbook" including everybody's favorite recipes, adding photos of the cooks, the food, family gatherings, and captions. It must be my age that is prompting me to do this for generations to come. Is anyone interested in helping to collect and put this together? I have some of my own mother's recipes and even (your) mom's "famous" chocolate cake recipe. Does anyone have any favorite recipes from Grandma Dahlke or other family (past/present) that could be included? I'm sure that there are many of mom's recipes that should be included, too. Don't forget extended family, too:)
In the same category as a "cookbook", maybe a journal of assorted memories combined with photos for mom's 75th? Any thoughts about this? I think it would be a fun activity that can include any/all family, no matter the age or locale. Maybe even get the old slides transferred to DVD for her...just a thought! If there is any interest in any of these, we would need to get started so as to have time to complete by August.
Sorry to be so chatty...Thanks again for the invite!
Have a beautiful weekend...Spring is finally here:)

sorry
Lu here, I just glanced at my post and I used the wrong font after the first para. Sorry, hope you can read it.
48 hours ? Lu here. Hey Shayla, Wow, where did the rest of the hours go? Are you getting excited yet? I would think you'd have a list- checkin it twice, you know. Kathy and I'd be list maniacs by now. Hopefully everything goes well with the car. Can't wait til you get here.
Hey, Kath, speaking of list mania, how's the garage sale prep coming along? I konw you'd probably like to be further along by now but it's only the first one, and I'm guessing you're going to have a bunch. Also, when you work full time, (plus housework and other activities), it's hard to have alot of ambition when you get home.
Hey Jen, How are you doing on the bracelets? You're pretty good at it so I'm sure you're doing ok. Still, I wish there was a way to help with the process. Do we need to call WM to see if we can set up a table? Talk to ya soon.
How about you, Teej? Did the research go a little smoother than you originally thought, or is it kind of overwhelming? What do you do; collect data, sort it, and decide what stuff you want to use? Hope it's going well. What's next? How far ahead do you know what's going on?
Mom and Ed are going to a grad party today. Ed's granddaughter-Kari, I forgot which way she spells her name. She is a certified (or licensed) therapist.
Mom changed oil on the lawnmower last nite. She said she started it and it fired up on the first pull. It's the same one she bought for her LF rental. After supper I was gonna cut grass and she said the oil needed to be changed and she wasn't sure if she had any. Then she was in the office and Ed was watching wrestling so I went downstairs. When I came back up she had the oil changed!
Also, she is still driving when she knows she's low. Her numbers have kind of been all over but for the most part they're ok. But the other day(Thurs) she knew she was low, she said she should have got her bag out of the back seat and taken her glucose tabs. She also knew she wasn't going to pass out. She was at 59. She didn't pass out at 41 so maybe she knows better than me but it still scares the BJ's out of me!
Well, I'd best be off to Dave's. Maybe we'll get the new doors out and stained and varnished today. The tranformation on that place blows me away. It's so nice. It's a whole new house on the inside. Every single room has been changed in some way. The girls helped him pick out colors for paint and flooring. Good job! Speaking of jobs, this ones the best part time job ever. A few hours here and there during the week and weekend hours as fits our schedules. It's great. And I love the work.
Hey Lisa, How's it going? I bet your gardens are all starting to come alive. Next time I get down to the CC I'll have to pop in. Your place has been transformed too. Inside and out! I meant to get back to right away on the Weigel Get to together but I'm trying to figure if we're doing a separate party for Mom. I'm open to suggestions and ideas. My thought is to have a simple open house on Sunday the 3rd at the Center.Maybe from 1-4 or so. Mom says just going to the casino and out to eat w/us would be nice but she's 75, shouldn't we have a party? Please let me know what you think. I'd like to have our deal the 3rd weekend. 15th-17th so we'd get a break and also be able to just relax .
Have a nice weekend everyone! Get out there and enjoy it if you can. TTFN,Y's

Thanks Lu
I really appreciate the hourly countdown! Thanks for that! We haven't completely gotten a car yet, but I've been talking a lot to a guy in Boston who's selling a 98 saturn for 1000. And it's in really good shape, so there's a lot of potential there. I just can't get out of the city to claim it until next monday or tuesday so I hope it stays available till then. But thanks a lot for asking. I can't wait to see you. And I'm sorry to hear about the junk your dealing with at work. Drama queens are the pits. NY if full of people blowing little things out of proportion. As you know from your short visit. Sorry, its too bad you lost sleep over it. But I'm glad that it appeared a smaller thing today.
I went to a mets game tonight. It was kinda lame, everything was wicked expensive and I don't really care about the mets so I wasn't quite feeling it, but it was fun to hang out with some friends. And I like the smell and sounds of a baseball stadium. It was cold though. Made me miss the Metrodome!

Hey hey hey Shay, I forgot what time time you thought you might be leaving on Wed so I kind of just guessed. Anyway, the title's for you. We all can't wait to see you. Did you guys find a car yet? That's great news about meeting DHP. Very exciting.
I didn't get any rest last nite due to worrying about something I did at work. I got a small part of my job stained up too dark and caused quite a rucus over it. We've got a couple of real whiners (male drama queens really) and I worried myself sleepless. Today I found out it wasn't nearly the castastrophe they had turned it into. I like doing a good job but I know I'm not perfect so I'm not sure why I take it to extremes emotionally when something doesn't turn out perfect. I have never been the over confident type but since coming back to work after being gone for so long--where everyone learned how to do just fine without me, my confidence levels have been very low. Any time thers a buzz about pos layoffs I feel threatened. I know I'm a good worker and am respected by most so I'm ok-usually.
Hey Tam, good luck on your research. Have actually answered your email yet? Do you think they might not? Last time I said keep up the work- I inadvertantly ommitted the word GOOD That's keep up the GOOD work!! Love y'all TTFNY's Luke

David Hyde Pierce!
Hey guys, I just want to share the thrilling news that last night I got to meet one of my favorite actors after seeing his show on Broadway. David Hyde Pierce plays Niles on Fraiser. And has been in many films like "Sleepless in Seattle" and so on. I really admire him as an actor, he's brilliant. And I had the opportunity to tell him that yesterday. It was great. I told him that I've been a fan since I was in 6th grade and I saw his hit the couch song that he wrote about being a thearopist on tv and sang it at an award ceremony. That made him laugh because I'm sure I'm the only dork to bring that up in a program signing. I got a picture with him too. I'm really happy about it.
That is one of the things that makes it cool to live in NYC for a while. I've seen a few celebrities that I admire. Tonight I'm going to a mets game. My friend has 5 dollar pictures and I figure it will be fun.
Anyway, I can't wait to see you all next weekend at the garage sale.
Love ya,
Shayla

hi everyone, not much to say really but i wont let that stop me. my new challenge for class is to research 4 questions about hipaa. i went on site and wow, talk about overwhelming. where do i start? so i decided to come on here instead. makes sense to me. i went to work today and got chewed out from my nurse for leaving her with such idiots on my weekend off. when nights came in, andy said i better not plan on taking a weekend off for awhile. i guess things didn't go too good last weekend. things like that make my job worthwhile. not that i plan on giving up my days off but its nice to hear that i'm appreciated and missed when i'm not there. i had a good weekend. katie and sam were here. me and kate went to the auction but didn't find any contributions for the garage sale. oh well. jessi made brunch for us on sunday. good job jessi-it was very tasty. logan stopped over. that was nice. he is very busy with his job and all. it was nice to see him. i should probably go to bed if i'm not gonna work on my homework. i got nancy in the morning before work so i don't get to sleep in. shay, i agree with you whole heartedly about gramma having to put up with such crap when she should be enjoying her retirement years. and she knows we all feel for her. i think that helps her continue on and not go completely mad. yap at ya all later.

News from NYC
Ed is such a dumbass. I'm sorry but I just had to say it. I really hate to think of Gramma having to put up with such garbage on mothers day, though if he wasn't good to her on the day of her heart attack I guess I shouldn't expect much on holidays and birthdays. I'm just so sorry that she has to deal with such ridiculous things when she should be stress free and bathing in the accomplishment of all the wonderful people she created. Just seems silly that a woman so loved and respected by so many people still has to deal with so much crap. But I know we all pretty much feel that way and it kinda could of gone without saying. But I said it.
Anyway, things here are alright. Anything is tolerable for a week:) I've been working a lot lately, too much, but that's ok. I can use the money. And tomorrow night Jesse and I are going to see Curtains on broadway. It has David Hyde Pierce in it, and he's one of my favorite actors, since Fraiser is one of my favorite shows. He won the tony for it last year too, so it's gotta be good.
I'm still putting off the arrangements of moving. I figure that since we're driving, we should be able to whip it together in a couple of days. I'm sure everyone's getting pretty excited this time of year. With school coming to a close and all sorts of family weekends on the calender.
Did you send any bracelets my way at all Jen? I'm assuming not, which is probably for the best, since my time is really winding down. But I'll be happy to help out as much as I can while I'm home.
Take care all, stay beautiful,
Shayla

Busy, Busy, Busy
Greetings from LF. Mom says hi too. (Ed doesn't) Mom tried to get him to wear his nice jacket to church (or anywhere) this am and of course he wouldn't do it. Not a big deal really, just a sign of how he annoys her. Anyway, Mom has been very busy. Thurs she had donuts-4 1/2 bags of flour; (50 pounders). Then the center had a function for supper. Fri was Brea's grad, in Fargo. Her MASTERS!!! - at just 3 days past her 24th bd. WOW. Kathy and I cheered for all those who were unable to attend. Right Kiash? Sat nite Mom and I drove down to Jeannie's, and the girls took us out for dinner. Buena Serra is a quaint little Itallian place that has exquisite food. I had scallops and they were very, very tastety!!!mmmmmm. Jeannie know the owners. Thanks again Jeannie, Susan and Jen. It was fabulous. Plus we got to see all the babies. We didn't get home til about 1 am and of course Ed wants to do early church. Hopefully she'll get a nap later.
We're going to the casino. That's what she picked when I asked her last week. We're just going for a few hours, a meal mostly, but hopefully we'll win. Wouldn't that be fun?
Tammy, way to go on your essay. I'm sure you'll keep us posted on how the whole course unfolds. Hopefully, now that you've got a good start, it IS what you need with a little extra stuff thrown in, like generals. In any case cont'd good luck and keep up the work!!! TTFN,Y's

What Jen Said
I just want to second what Jen said to Katie. That is to say please do keep us posted on Clarissa. And hang in there. I know it's really scary. Hopefully she's been coming out alright. It seems crazy to have a couple of major seizures in one week. But we're here for you Kate! We love you.
And yes, boys totally suck.
Love,
Shayla

Clarissa
Kate, how's your friend? I just read your last post but forgot to look at the date you posted it. I assume she went to the hospital both times? Are these the first two that you have witnessed? Do you know if she has had any in the past? Does she have epilepsy or are doctors looking into some other cause? When Susan was in 6th grade her best friend had a grand mal seizure. It is a very scary thing. Keep us posted; I'm sure everyone here would like to know she's ok even though we don't know her.
P.S. Boys suck.

My Friend Clarissa
Mom I would love to come over. I have a game on Friday so Idk when. I hope that it works out because i really wanna see you! I miss you so much.
today My friend had another one and it was so scary. she was sitting right next to me because we were doing a group project. she was sitting sideways in her desk and if she would have fell forward she would have fell on me, she crossed her pinkies with her ring fingers and her pointers with her middle fingers and her arms crossed and her mouth opened and she was staring into my eyes right before it happened. and her eyes were glossy and she had the look in her eyes saying Katie Help me. then she fell backwards and smacked her head on the floor. i yelled Meek(my health teacher) help! I sprinted to the office yelling call 911. I was so scared. i didn't know what to do. i was shaking really bad. i started crying really hard! I'm so scared for her. on monday before she had one she said i cant find this answer. i looked like 10 times. can you help me. so i helped her and then she said i cant write today and then she fell out of her desk. and today before it happened she said i cant write today. i looked at another girl in my group and i was like oh my gosh. Clarissa are you feeling ok? do you feel any different than you usually do. she said yes i'm fine i feel fine. i said do you have a head ache or anything she said no. then she was kind of looking off and all of a sudden she started staring at me and looking in my eyes. then it happened.

Wow, Katie. I'm so sorry to hear about your friend. What's her condition? One of my friends had a seizure in class one time. I remember it being really scary. But I hardly knew him, it would be a lot worse with my best friend. Sorry to hear about Robbie and you breaking up, but if he doesn't know what he's missing, then he's a schmuck! That's all there is to it.
Jen, I did call Brea, but thanks for the memo. I hope she had a good birthday dinner. She was working on her last final, a take-home test, when I called. Which is not really how I would have wanted to spend my b-day, but it is her very last one, so I could see how that wouldn't be so bad.
I still feel guilty about not staying to hang out with her in D.C. but I will be spending the night with her in her North Dakota apartment on my drive out to Montana.
I can't believe how busy summer is going to be for you Jen. That's just kinda the name of the game though huh?
Mom I think your bake sale at the garage sale is a splendid idea. Especially since its a fundraiser. then people will throw in a little extra.
Way to go Tammy, I think 89 is a fabulous score. And you thought that was going to be a bad one for you. Man, there ain't nothing wrong with a B+. You're really doing great with all of your testing.
I can't wait to see you all at the garage sale. I should probably start to get ready to move home. I haven't even started. But I'll get it together. I always do.
Love ya all

tammy obviously has more to say
kate, I have this weekend off and i aint gonna pick it up so if anyone wants to come over, let me know. I can come and pick you up if your dad doesn't want you driving over here. lu, you were right, it was in my jean jacket pocket. i was worried that i gave it to someone and didn't get it back but i had it in my pocket. school hasn't e-mailed me back yet. probably tomoro. this unit is interesting enough, so that's good. i just hope i'm not wasting my time. when i open my account it says medical billing and coding so i must be alright. i'm gonna read for awhile so i'll yap at ya all later. i'm planning on going to the auction on saturday if anyone cares to join me. lookthrough starts at 430, auction starts at 630.
hey everyone, sorry I haven't been on for a while. I'm busy with softball. This week I have 4 games and only one is home. That was on Monday. Anyways I wanted to go to prom but Robbie and I broke up and he didn't wanna go with me anymore. So we didn't go. Mom you missed me. lol jk its fine. I was just reading that and saw what you wrote in the end. By the way good job on the test. I'm sure its better than I could do. School grades are ok. but not the best. I have a D+ in Geometry. other wise good grades. Yesterday in school my best friend had a seizer in health class. I was so scared! i was shaking so bad because of it. I started crying. Hopefully I will see all of you a lot more this summer.
Love,
Katie

jen again
howdy to all. just talked to brea to wish her a happy bday...hope all the necessary others did or do the same! Kathy as you know you are speaking correctly for brea; she does a ton of walking in the great outdoors and is training whether she sees it that way or not. we'll all/each make our $2200. I'm sure she is worried about it because quite frankly it kind of sucks to ask people for money, even if it is a good cause, and she is going to be so busy now that she won't really have much time to get out there and fundraise and she doesn't have the same work environment as most of us do where she can ask them for donations or have bake sales and whatnot. talk about a runon sentence. but we'll all get there; we just have to dream up a couple more ideas and make them happen. I think it is a great idea to sell drinks and treats at the garage sale; I was actually thinking the same thing. I'll be staying at my dad's I think for that whole weekend; do you know what days the sale will be and what hours you will be running it? I know before you devoted a lot of time to it and even through the rain it turned out pretty good. Adrian is going to dig through the house and see if he has anything to get rid of. Hopefully we will make a lot this year.
Tammy, good job on the 89%. if you are going to fall below 90, that's the one to get!!! that's still pretty dang good.

wow! i guess it pays to whine a little. the activity on here lately is awsome. I don't really have much to say but I won't let that stop me. i got 89 on my esssay. my first below 90, but not bad. i just e-mailed these people about this class. i think that i am doing alot of work for stuff that doesn't really apply to me and i cant help but wonder if this is over my head. i want to work from home doing med billing and coding, and this stuff is way over the top for that. so hopefully, they will get back to me soon. i'm thinking maybe i should have went with us career institute. but maybe i still will. this one just looked more professional. we'll see what they have to say. jen, bracelets at the sale will be fine. i probably wont sell many anyway. kathy, glad youre hanging around. see ya in a couple weeks. lu, see you at bingo. shay, you'll be home before you know it. mack, of course i'll be there for your party. i raked and cleaned flower beds at nancys today and my body is already telling me i will pay for it tomoro. oh well. back to the schoolwork for an hour or so before bingo. yap at ya all later. hope i didn't forget anyone. if i did, i'm terribly sorry and i will make up for it next time.

Kathy Says...
Hi Everyone!
How was your weekend? Brea spent much of the day here yesterday and we played Hand and Foot. She spent some quality time with the kittens. They're two weeks old now, eyes open, shaky on their legs, and basically fun to watch and hold. Brea taught us an anatomy lesson and I know now that we have three girls and one boy. This is good because we have several takers with requests for girls, so hopefully we will find homes for them all easily when the time comes.
I had another idea for the garage sale. I am going to bake brownies and sell them at the sale along with pop and coffee. It works well at the theatre. Hopefully we'll sell a bunch at a buck apiece. Brea is getting discouraged about not being able to raise much because she graduates Friday, then moves on Sunday to her job locale. I told her I would help as much as I could. And I truly plan to. She is so prepared physically to do the three day because she walks all day long at her job through fields, bogs, marshes, whatever. Being on level pavement should be a piece of cake. (Nothing like speaking for her, huh? But I'm sure she can handle it.)
Hi Katie! So nice to hear from you. So cool that you are now a licensed driver. We should expect to see more of you now, right?
I am officially not going to Vegas. I was already pretty set on not going, but I got a letter in the mail yesterday that I am not qualified to teach ESL, according to their licensing department. I'm not sure why, but I might have seen somewhere that it requires a degree in TESOL, (teaching english to speakers of other languages) not just a license. I am qualified to teach High School English, it said, but I don't want to switch subjects at this time.
I gotta run before I burn my supper. I'll check back in soon. Have a great day, all!

jly here!
howdy, weigels, petericks, boodys, paradeises, yoreks, I'll feel bad if I forgot one but I think I'm set!
Mackenzie (sorry, love that name - hard for me to shorten!!!), glad you set a date for your party, that's hard to do when you are trying to accommodate so many schedules. But you'r in luck, that weekend was still open for me! So there's the garage sale 5/26 weekend, I'll possibly be in san diego the following weekend (very, very small chance), grad party the following 6/7, father's dad with dad down here wknd of 6/14, me getting older a few days later and then my cousin's wedding 6/21, adrian's parents arrive from trinidad a few days later, Em's 2nd bday party and 4ht of july, I think I will just stop there. I can't believe every single weekend is booked that far already, plus a few more. OH I just thought of something - Susan's youngest Brayden (my godson) is turning 1 June 8th...if she is having the party the same day 6/7 I should still have no problem going to both.
Shay, actually it has been just me selling so far; we started with 19 and I sold 17 at my work and now I just have those two left. I didn't realize that you only had about two weeks left in NY, that's crazy!! I am planning on selling some at the garage sale and your mom and tammy have both said they would take some as wel. I am meeting up with connie this week to get the supplies and make them ASAP so I can send some off.
Kathy and Tammy, if you want to try to sell some, how many would you like? Tam, do you want me to send you some? or will you be at the garage sale and want to take some then? Either way works for me! Kathy, I'm guessing I need to mail yours ASAP if you are going to try to sell them at school?
Shayla, (again) yes, you did spell Cinco de Mayo (5th of May...) wrong but we forgive you, especially since you spelled enchiladas correctly. :)
KatyJo, so cool to see you on here!! Sorry you missed prom. how come you didn't go this year, sounds like you wanted to? No cute boys to go with? I know I was going to say something else but my brain froze and of course I still can't remember what it was, I'm sure I'll think of it the second that I post this.
LADIES - don't forget your mothers this weekend!

16 days:)
Shayla here~
Yup Lu, just 16 more days out here. And not a day too soon. I'll be hanging out in MN for about 3 weeks before I go out west. Which is half of the reason I'm coming home so early. The other half is the kittens. I feel bad that I'm wussing out on Brea. Because I was really looking forward to hanging out with her in D.C. But I'm kinda tired of the east coast all together, so as much as I'd love to see D.C. I'm really aching for some quality air and elbow room. Especially now that summers on the wing. Though it sounds like MN missed the memo. (30 degrees the other day huh?) I guess that's one thing I don't miss. I think that in Seattle I'll be willing to put up with lots of rain in exchange for much milder weather. Those 8 month winters seem to really put me in a funk after a while. When spring rolls around, it's like, wow, this is what it feels like to be me, I forgot.
Today my roommates and I are having our first dinner together, finally. We've been trying to do so since January, but we all have very conflicting schedules. And tonight is sinco de miyo (Laugh it up, because that was probably a really pathetic spelling of it). So they're making enchiladas! And I'm supplying the corona and dos equis (xx).
Oh and yeah, my foot is totally better. Thanks for asking Lu.
And Mac, I'm glad you set the date for the grad party. I'll be there with bells on. I'm glad your having it while I'm home. Some Shanghai and hand in foot sounds awesome.
Hope all is well in the Weigel world.
Love
Shayla

Love

Push-ups!
Hi everyone, Luke here.
Hey Jen, I agree w/ Kathy, I actually laughed out loud for several minutes. Even now, I have to chuckle. Reason being post c/c (cancer & chemo) I have been trying to do push ups and I could barely do 1. Now I'm up to a whole 5 and 3 quarters- I absolutely cannot get # 6 accomplished. I can sit there for half a minute before I quit but I can"t do it. It's quite sad. I used to be able to do alot of them. Anyway keep up the good work on diet, exercise, and bracelets. The new set of beads are in so we just have to connect with Connie. I got to see the new one with the crystals--they're lovely.
I'm back in LF. Work @ Kelber was a blast as usual and my total hours is going to be about 70 plus the 80 I'm getting paid for @ WS. Yeah, that should help buy a little gas.
Hi Katie, you are so sweet. We all miss you--alot. Now that you have your license maybe you can come and visit me and Gramma sometime.
Hey Mackie, count me in for the grad party. Shayla are you really leaving NY in a few weeks? I know you said the dates in your blog but unfortunatly I can't read it from here. Are you staying here for a while or heading west right away?
Mom says hi and sends her love. She's happy we're all keeping in touch w/each other. I tell her you all say hi back. I keep her informed as well. Mom and I are going to watch 27 Dresses now so I'll sign off. Teej and Jessi, I'll see you Tuesday nite. TTFN,Y's :)

Mac - Grad Party
So, I officially set a date for my graduation celebration. It will be Saturday, June 7th, officially from 1-5 but we all know that we don't mean that. Sounds like a good opportunity for some Shanghai, maybe some Hand and Foot, doesn't it? But yeah, all of you should come, and bring your families. The more Weigels, the better, I've always said.
:) It's nice to see so many people here.

Good to hear from you Katie. I'm really sorry that you didn't get to go to prom at all. Would have been cool to see Logan at the grand march. But you did get to see Cody right? How was that? We miss you too Katie, hope to see you soon this summer. You should come to the garage sale at moms if you can. Maybe a bunch of us could hang out there if the weather is alright.
Thanks Lu, for the words of encouragement. I don't really know if I have any good ideas for Gramma's birthday. I'm going to be out in Glacier for the whole month of August, so I won't be able to make it.
Jen, I wouldn't mind trying to sell a few of those bracelets at all, but I'm only going to be out here for another two weeks, so if you can get a bunch out to me soon, then I'll bet I can sell at least a few. I can't believe how successful everyone else has been in selling them, that's great! I'll probably have a few things to donate to the garage sale as well.
It's so exciting to me that summer time is just around the corner. Can't wait for memorial weekend.
Talk to you all later.

PROM
Hey its Katie. I'm really bored right now. I'm babysitting and the kids are in bed so I just figured that I would come on here. Last night I went to Little Falls prom. I went to go watch their grand march because Cody went to Little Falls prom this year. so I went to watch him and a couple of my friends. I wish that I wasn't babysitting right now because tonight is Royalton's prom and I wanted to go watch the grand march because Logan is going to this one and another one next friday. so he gets to go to two prom's this year. I wanted to go see all my friends but I can't. I might stop in once I'm done babysitting if they get home before 12. I wish that I could have gone this year. it would have been so cool. I'm going for sure next year. I can't wait. well enough about me, how has everyone been? Hey Mom, how is everything? I miss you and hope to see you soon! I hope to see everyone soon! I miss you all so much, I'll be on later. I love you all!
Love,
Katlyn Jo

mornin', yappers!
sounds like my mom is having some technical difficulties with her posts.
Kathy, I'm glad you thought my exercise journal was funny. and it was all true! they do say true stories often make the best jokes/humor. :)
Right now I have two bracelets left so I need to make more soon. I can't this weekend, I won't be down here, so maybe next weekend or I will just have to swing my M&C's and get the supplies and make them here at home on weeknights or something. If you think you could sell some that would be super! I can either make some soon here and mail them up to you, or worst case I could bring them up to the garage sale and have you keep some then. oh wait, that might be too late? I'll chat w/connie this weekend and see if we can find a time this week to get together, I'll/we'll make a bunch and then I will just send them your way.
I'm excited as well for the garage sale. it is great to hear of so many people being able to donate stuff. I'll see what else I can bring up besides clothes. And I have no idea how much to sell anything for so kathy I'll need your help there. I suppose I should also double check with adrian that we don't have plans that I forgot about. hopefully not. I haven't heard from jess or bre yet if they will be there that weekend but they don't really need to be I guess. it would help if they were just so we could set up shop in front of walmart or something and sell bracelets and suckers, but they don't really need to be there for the garage sale. would be fun though.
that's all from me, have a good weekend everyone!

Wow! You've had a lot to say lately! I'm so glad to get garage sale responses. Everyone is getting involved. Cool! Pam is going to send some things home with Lu, too. Hopefully, it will be a big success.
Jen, so cool that the bracelets are selling so well. I think I might be able to sell a few at work. Let me know how to make that happen.
Tammy-awesome job with the schoolwork. Sounds like it is going to get tougher, but you will rock!
I have a couple posts from Lu that went to limbo which I will post as soon as I'm done here. So they should come up before this one.
I'm very tired tonight, so am not going to respond to everyone right now. I'll try to get on here tomorrow. Kayo? etalk at ya then. Love you all! Gnight.
P.S. Jen your account of your exercising accomplishments was hilarious. You're so funny. Hey, who else can do a pushup? Way to go.

whipp-ed cre-am
brea? are you there? :)
who is wildebrand? and why am I the only one with an actual profile?
tammy jo, can't wait to hear how the essay went. hopefully better than you think.
I'm hoping that brea and jess can both come up for memorial day weekend, but regardless, I am planning on splitting whatever money we raise for donations amongst the three of us. if one of us gets our $2200 first, that person can hopefully help the other two make it to the finish line. but if we have a few things that we can do together, even if we are not physically together, like bracelets and suckers, and split the funds raised, it will be a lot easier all around. i would think anyway. time to whippersnap!
Shay, are you by chance going to be around that weekend? are you interested in buying or taking some bracelets to try to sell in NY to help your big sis and two of your favorite cousins? So far I've sold 17 at work (!!:)) which is about 15 more than I was expecting so I'm pretty flipping happy about that!!! I also got $60 in additional donations.
I'm trying to do little physical things here and there to try to get in shape a little. I lost some weight but I'd like to burn a bunch more fat and tone up. so guess what, i started on wednesday by doing 30 jumping jacks and a push up. Typo? no; one pushup. my upper body strength blows your mind, I know! It was a very intense workout. Thank God I don't have a personal trainer. that would be really embarrassing. seriously though, I did two this morning, TWO, and my pecs are sore. not the place I was trying to burn fat, thank you anyway.......but that's ok I found some other moves. I also bought a jump rope but have nowhere to use it because the ceilings are too low and the rope gets caught on a light fixture every time, or whatever else is in the way, like my ass...but it sure has been fun "working out".
well, I'm very busy right now watching julian swing the wii remote at the television. it's past his bedtime and I'm the one that can hardly stay awake right now.
kathy, have you tried any of the glucerna foods? they are supposedly for diabetics and help regulate blood sugar. wonder if it works. looked up the cereal and it has a lot of fiber per serving. that must help a lot, which is basically the weight watchers building block as well.
i'm sleepy. catch you yappers later.

Just saying HI!
Hi all, Luke here. Another day another $. It was the 2nd 11 hr. day, very busy, tom. & Sun will probably be closer to 6-8 hrs. We'll see. I'm taking pto from work so this'll be a nice little "bonus". I should have about 65 hours in by Sun pm. I'm not sure how the pay period ends but I know pay day is the same as WS so I'll get both checks at about the same time. I'm pretty sure Sat Sun won't be included but then it'll be another little bump in a few weeks.
97% again Teej, way to go!!! You rock, WOW. Keep up the good work. As for the table, I guess selling it wouldn't be a bad idea. If and when I ever leave Mom's I'll just start over by garage sailing--maybe I'll find something a lttle different.
Jen is doing so well on the bracelets!!! Way to go Jen!!!
Kathy I need you to rescue another blog for me.

Hi all. I sent in my essay the other day. I sent it by mail cause I don't know how to cut and paste (computor applications is two units away, so I'll learn it soon). I haven't heard back yet. I think I did ok. We'll see. The good news is, the unit also included a test. Both of which will make up half the grade. I got 95 on the test. The essay wasn't as hard as I thought it would be. But I'm sure there are sentence structure and puncuation errors. Hopefully, not too many. Now I'm getting into Law and Ethics of Medicine. I do believe these units are gonna get tougher and tougher as I go along here. The book is over 300 pages and there are 3 study guides, each consisting of about 100 pages. You do the math. I downloaded the study guides but I have to recieve the book by mail. I haven't recieved it yet. But I did look through the first study guide. There are 12 lessons in this unit. Each having numerous self tests, lots of terms, and towards the end more essays and research activities. Wow huh? Oh well, the end results will be worth it. Thanks to all for your positive words. Lu, I don't really have room for your table anymore so I was thinking of putting it storage. Maybe you want to put it on the garage sale. Let me know either way. My poor little apartment is quite crowded now that Glen and his stuff are here. The computor desk is in the dining room so there's really no room for the table. I will put it the storage shed if you want me to hang on to it, or I can take it up to Kathy's. I don't really have much to contribute, but I do have a couple boxes in the closet ready to go. My new thing is to have a box in the closet for things I don't want. When it gets full, I start a new one. Maybe i'll go to the auction next weekend and see what kind of treasure boxes I can find there. I bought some boxes last year for a few $ for one thing I thought was cool and when I got it home, there was a whole bunch of stuff in there that I marked and took to Kathy's. I made alot of money on that stuff. So maybe I'll go see what I can find next weekend. I don't think they have started the outside stuff like they have in the summer yet but I'll go check it out. I just checked the calendar and I don't work Memorial weekend so Kathy, I can come up. Hopefully I find some treasures next weekend. I will be more than happy to donate everything to the girls' fund. Jessi, if you can make up some suckers, I will take them up there for ya. We can keep them seperate or add to the fund, whichever works best for you. Actually, I think the sale is to be split between ya. I'm not sure. If not we'll keep the sucker sales seperate. Let me know at bingo if you can have some ready to go. I joined netflix last weekend and have "Why did I get married". I'm gonna go watch it so I'll yap at ya all later.

Good Mornin', Yappers
Hi All. Luke/Mom here. It's Thurs. am and Pam & I are about to leave for work.
Kathy thank you sooo much for getting my blog to post. Good job, Jen. Way to go. Let me know if more beads are coming in before the weekend's over.
Hey Shay. Hang in there kiddo. You're pain in almost over. Speaking of pain, how's your foot?
Mom/Gramma says hi too. I need birthday celebration ideas & dates from everyone. I'm actually busy on her bd but if that's what works out for most then that's what we should do.
Gotta run, Yak at y
