Hi!!

Hey, it only took 1 blogger error and I got to the site:) Thanks Lu and Kathy for access to the blog! I've never been on a blog; after reading through a few of the most recent entries, it sure saves a lot of time in letting people know what's going on!!

I've been pulling some things together for Kathy's garage sale next weekend (yikes...already!!!). I hope to be able to fit it in my car, but was wondering if anyone going up from here in the cities might have extra room? I have a chair and (printer or micro) stand that I want to take up and I know the chair will not fit unless I take it apart. Are you selling any clothes? If not, I'll take them over to the church sale or goodwill.

What days are you planning for the sale? When did you want me to come up? I know that you're also selling the bracelets...I have some beads, so will try to put some together. Are you planning anything else...like a bake sale or ? , that I could make quick here at home? Let me know!!

Shayla, I'm so glad you'll be home for the sale...I'm looking forward to seeing you again!!! Drive safely and enjoy the trip:)

Hey Tammy, what classes are you taking now or in the future? I might have some info left from my classes...I remember having all those papers to write. I always did well on them but not without a lot of mental anguish and writer's block that kept me up late hours, completing at the deadline. Right when you feel good about having it done another research paper is assigned; before you know it you're done and graduating!!!

I've been thinking about trying to put together a "Family Cookbook" including everybody's favorite recipes, adding photos of the cooks, the food, family gatherings, and captions. It must be my age that is prompting me to do this for generations to come. Is anyone interested in helping to collect and put this together? I have some of my own mother's recipes and even (your) mom's "famous" chocolate cake recipe. Does anyone have any favorite recipes from Grandma Dahlke or other family (past/present) that could be included? I'm sure that there are many of mom's recipes that should be included, too. Don't forget extended family, too:)

In the same category as a "cookbook", maybe a journal of assorted memories combined with photos for mom's 75th? Any thoughts about this? I think it would be a fun activity that can include any/all family, no matter the age or locale. Maybe even get the old slides transferred to DVD for her...just a thought! If there is any interest in any of these, we would need to get started so as to have time to complete by August.

Sorry to be so chatty...Thanks again for the invite!

Have a beautiful weekend...Spring is finally here:)

Pam
