Wahooooooooooo!

So I'm pretty much all set for the big move tomorrow. I found a car yesterday. It's not as great as I was hoping for. It's a 94 saturn, and it only has 110,000 miles on it. I bought it for 1300, which is totally reasonable, but I've been so spoiled with that really great subaru that Jesse and I bought since it drives like a dream and is a 98. So I think that maybe when I get home, I'll keep looking for a newer car and sell this one for what I bought it for and then I got a rental car for free out of the deal. But the important thing is that I found one. I was having the hardest time just finding someone selling a car that talked to me like a reasonable and honest person on the phone, or spoke English decently. So when I got a hold of a nice 50 year old woman out on long island who has kids my age and picked me up and dropped me off at the train station I knew on my way out there that I was going to buy her car. Just because she was a real person. And the car is certainly good enough for the long drive and even the whole summer if I choose to keep it that long.

And today we packed up everything, and threw it in the corner. The way it is now, it looks like it would all fit into the saturn. So here's hopin'. I've been relatively wrapped up in making arrangements today but when I just sat down and read my mom's last blog about the kitties and the garage sale it put a big grin on my face( And if I'm able to get all my stuff sorted out right away when we get home, I should have a truck load of stuff to donate to the sale) And now I'm SO excited.

I'm going out for dinner with my friends tonight at Bella Luna (the place I took mom and Lu and Gramma and co. to when they were visiting) cause it's my favorite. Then I'm going drinking for a couple of hours on restaurant row, cause that's where I worked so I need to make my rounds and say goodbye to all the local drunks and my fellow former employees (also local drunks). It should be a great night, then tomorrow it's off to pick up our car then load er up and hit the road! I'm guessing we'll make it into Brainerd sometime late on Thursday night. Feel free to call if anyone gets bored cause we'll just be driving. We're planning to spend the night somewhere in Ohio. But who knows, maybe we'll be so pumped with excitement that we'll just plow straight through. We'll see.

Can't wait to see you all.

Love ya,

Shayla
