Wisdom teeth are all done!

Hey again.

So I got my wisdom teeth pulled yesterday. And it really hasn't been all that bad. I'm trying to talk as little as possible since my gums stopped bleeding. I really don't want them the start up again. But I don't feel too much pain. I haven't used the pain meds at all. Which is great, because then I can save them till something painful happens to me, since I'm officially uninsured as of next week.

But anyway, all is well. I'll probably make some phone calls tomorrow or the day after. I haven't talked to Lu or Mom for a while and I usually call at least once a week. So I'll get right on that as soon as I'm sure my mouth is heeled.

And the cleanse is still A. O.K. I come off of it tomorrow. But it'll be gradual. Just fruit juice and veggie soup for a day, then I slowly add things in.

Hope all is well for everyone else. The weather must have warmed up considerably since no one has been on here this week.

Love yas

Foodless in Seattle

Hey everybody~

So foodless isn't because I can't afford food since the economy is bad, though that's a partially realistic possibility. I'm actually doing the Master Cleanse this week. Which is going pretty well. You spend a max. of 10 days not eating any food, but just drinking a lemonade mixture that you make yourself at home. And I know it sounds crazy and impossible, but it actually has enough nutrients in it to sustain you for the full 10 days, or longer if you want to. And the point is to get all the toxins out of your body, as well as to break free the hardened, mucus-crud that lines your intestines. It's a great feeling to get rid of things in your body that have always been there and never would have gone anywhere if you didn't do something big like this. So today is day 6, I feel normal. I've felt normal the whole time. And I work pretty hard and about 50 hours a week and I've been able to fully carry out my job, heavy lifting and all. So this lemonade really is sustaining me, no doubt about it.

I'm treating this as a transition into a healthy lifestyle. It's suddenly very important to me that I only put good things into my body, or at least mostly good things. I've always been a good 15-25 pounds over my recommended weight for height and age, which I know isn't a huge deal, but I'm in love with the idea of my body being exactly what it should be. So now it's on to the super duper good stuff. Raw fruits and veggies, whole grains, legumes, nuts, seeds, beans, soy and tofu products, and organic red wine. I'm going to allow myself only three guilty pleasures a week, which are all probably going to be cheese related. And I feel like for the most part, this is going to be pretty easy. I figure if I can go 10 days without any food at all, I can do anything. And I just read this book called "Skinny Bitch" which really kicked my butt in gear. And of course there will be a lot of walking involved. And Seattle is an amazing place for walking with it's beautiful scenery and steep hills, which will get me in the right shape for this summer.

So that's been the focus of my life lately. Like I said I'm working a lot. Mostly busing tables at a busy restaurant, but I've learned to love it. And Seattle gets better every day. Plus I have an awesome road trip and another amazing summer to look forward to.

I'm coming home soon. End of February for about 5 days. I think some Shang-hi is in order. Possibly a little bingo at the casino as well. And hopefully it's not -40 degrees. I hope I'll get to see you all, cause my last visit felt really really short.

I'm sorry to hear about Robin, I'm sure I've probably met her, but I don't remember.

I'm really glad the weather warmed up for all of you. I'm really looking forward to coming home. Winters on the way out and Spring is nearly here. It's a darn good thing February is the shortest one!

Miss you all,
Shayla

Robin

Lu forwarded an email from Snooksy about Robin to Tammy, Lisa and me. It took me ten minutes to get her message open, then I kept losing it. Just in case either of you had trouble I'm copying and pasting here:

HI You Guys,
I don,t know if you heard through the grapevine, but Robin has been diagnosed with lung cancer. She is meeting with the spcialists to see where we go from here. IT ISon her right side where the esaphagus divides. She had to go on insulin to get her blood sugar under control to do the pep or pet scan. You know what that is I imagine. Any the report looks like it had spread, so we are hoping for the best. We hit big on the Super Bowl. How does $12 grand sound? I can't believe it. Talk to you later Flo

If anybody finds out more info, please post it here. I imagine Mom will call and talk to Snooks, so I will either talk to her or give Snooksy a call myself. Scary stuff!!

Tammy- I have a Speech tournament on Monday which means I will get home about 9-10:00. Tues and Wednes I have practice and will get home around 6ish. Thursday I have a meet in Little Falls and a very short party afterwards. Should be home by 8:00. Nothin on Friday!! Maybe I should take the day off? Saturday I am judging for the high school speech team and leave very early (around 5:30) and will probably be home around 6:00 p.m. Looks like Thursday night/Friday would work out the best if you want to come hang out and spend the night? Let me know. I could take off Friday. Really. I wouldn't mind.

So how is everyone? Love the change in weather. Looks like we are going to get a few more days of it. Yeehah!

Lu's on her way over here now cuz she's up here for a Lion's convention at Cragun's this weekend and sleeping here to save the big bucks. I'm sure we'll have fun.

Hope all is well with everybody! Love ya...-Kiash

Did ya all freeze up or what?

Just an update on things. I have seen no more critters. Only the one. I cleaned the closet out last weekend and I haven't seen any proof there is anything left in there. I didn't even find a single dead one as I was cleaning. Whatever! I finished the coding section yesterday, I haven't heard back yet cause it's any essay one so I will have to wait until someone actually looks at it. In a day or two I imagine. I started my insurance form prep today. So far it was pretty easy cause it just was about collecting personal information and looking up codes. Well , I just did a whole unit on that, so I flew right through it. Took the first test and got 100%. I am gonna quit for the day though. I worked on it pretty much all day yesterday and part of today, so I quit. I only have one unit left after this one and that's office practice, which includes filing and stuff so I'm guessing I should be able to finish up soon. I'm taking next week off and hope to get most of it(if not all of it) done. It depends on what's all involved in it. I haven't really looked at it. I just talked myself into looking through that before I retire to go watch TV for awhile and catch up on all the stuff I record during the week. Just wanted to see what everyone had to say. A whole lot of nothing. Yap at ya all later.
