Tammy, I talked to my mom today and she is planning on going so if no one else, you will see her.
Thanks in advance for your support with the 3Day; we are all worried about the fundraising and can't wait to raise the money and just enjoy the rest. I'm excited to start training. I didn't do much of that for the Leukemia marathon and I got by just fine so I guess I'm not worried about it if I don't do as much as I should.
Did you watch the million dollar mission last nght? I missed it. Did anyone win a mil?
Yap...that's a very fun word! I love it! :)

3-DAY
hey weigels! Kathy I think you do need to send out the invites although I'm not certain.
So it is official -- Jessi, Brea and I are joining the "3-Day" and will be walking 60 miles together in September! I have wanted to do this for years so I'm excited that I'm finally making the time to do it and I couldn't be more excited to be able to do it with Jessi and Brea. I know it is going to be an experience that words cannot describe and I can't wait for it. The Leukemia marathon was amazing and I wished the day wasn't over so I know I'll enjoy every moment of these three days to come. So we are all ready to register, we just need one thing - a team name!! Just the three of us will be the team, you don't have to have a certain number of people. I am not creative with thinking up clever things like this so right now we are stumped but have only been thinking about it for an hour. :) So far we have thought of, "Team Weigel", Weigels Walk for the Cure, well that's about it! There may have been another but i can't remember it. So Mack, Kathy, Shayla, Mom, Nikki (is she on this?), any other creative souls out there...help us out! we want to register within a week or so, just to get the materials and start training and fundraising so please put your thinking caps on and let us know what you stir up! thanks all!
Shay - glad you made it home ok. Don't worry about being in NYC for the short time you have left. Enjoy the rest of your time out there because it is quite an experience, even if you aren't enjoying it now. Go to all the cool places that everyone dreams of going to, have coffee at Central Park (you may still, but I remember you saying once how cool that was...) and just enjoy yourself! You'll be in Seattle in no time. :)

Back in NYC
Hey everyone
So I'm back in the big mess of NYC. Which is alright, I like my place. But right away when I was boarding the plane to NY I was like wow, these people are so loud, and obnoscious, and rude. And then I remembered, oh yeah, that's why New York sort of sucks. So now I'm even more excited to think about moving to Seattle next fall. But I really did have a great time back home. And was happy to get used to the nice people enough to be shocked coming back here.
Oh and mom, if you can, you should invite Krista. I'll try to figure out her address and get back to you.
I had a great time at Gramma's.

Welcome home, Shayla!
Happy Valentine's, everyone!
I talked to Susan and she will not be making it this weekend. P.S. she's pregnant! Yep! #4!
And if anyone knows anyone in the Rice area looking for a daycare provider, Susan needs some work! That's what she does now, for those of you who didn't know. :)
I also talked to Jessi the other day and she won't be coming; she'll be in Mexico! She told the kids to come by though.

Saturday
I shoud be there between 3 and 4. I'm meeting some friends in St. Cloud in the morning. My friend Mel is an avid Shang-hi player so maybe I can get her to stay for a game. Anyway, can't wait to see everyone.

Welcome
Glad to see Brea and Jenny got on. Does anyone know about Melissa? I wonder if she got the invite. If you think you have her current email address send her an invite, please. I don't think I had the right one. When Shayla gets home tomorrow, we'll come up with a time for the get together. And since everyone is checking this out now, we'll post it on here:) Talk to you all soon.
more
Just talked to Grandma, she is fine with everyone coming over and of course is excited to se whoever can make it and it doesn't matter to her what time anyone shows up (although I'm still curious what you all are thinking!). So, to Grandmother's house we go!
I finally made it!!
I can't believe I'm actually here. It was quite a fiasco to get on to this blog. Apparently Google doesn't really like me. I think I had to pull a fast one on them to get in. It makes the blog seem that much cooler since it's so exclusive.
Anyway, I hope everybody's doing really well. Things are good for me here in the wastelands of North Dakota (I think I'm getting a little bitter about the wind, and the snow, and the cold). I just found out today that I'll be going to Washington D.C. in May for work. I think it ought to be a good trip, since it will be right after I graduate.
I will be coming home this weekend. It sounds like there's a little to do on Saturday, you all can count me in (assuming I'm invited - but now that you've all let me into your blog, it seems like a blanket invitation for all the fun stuff).
Take care,
Brea

yep, saturday!
I talked to Grandma yesterday and she was fine with it at her house or wherever. I just tried calling to let her know we decided on her house and her line is busy so I'll try again in a bit. I left voicemails for Tammy and Lisa today but obviously Tammy has already said she's in so we'll see if Lisa can make it. I talked to Connie this morning and she thinks they might have something going on but isn't sure so hopefully they can come too. I also talked to Susan and she is going to let me know and I emailed Jeannie but haven't heard back yet. I sent Jess a message so we'll see what she says. Ron is the only one I haven't spread the word to (and Skip, of course) if someone wants to call him. I also didn't call Kathy but I'm hoping Shayla mentioned it!! :)
Tammy, even if your job was the most physically relaxed and/or stress free, 14 consecutive days is certainly a lot and more than deserving of a day off. Glad we could present an opportunity you couldn't pass up!!! :) Nice you have the OT - that's the best and usually makes it all worth it.
What time is everyone planning on for Saturday? "We" have the kids until about noon Saturday and will head up after that so Adrian and I will be there 130 or 2. Connie is thinking about roasting a turkey or something but if she goes I think it will be late morning so for lunch or so. Thought I'd spread the word on that in case anyone else wants to bring a dish to graze from. Perhaps I'll bring some snicker salad...MMMMM cool whip! :)

Saturday
Gramma's house sounds great to me, if she's ok with it that is. Tammy you should bring that brain quiz thing. I didn't get to play with it yet. Sucks that your class got cancelled but it's nice that you made extra money. Can't wait to see everyone!

i'm in for saturday
i have the option to work this weekend but that would mean i would work 14 days without a day off. i know that doesn't sound like much but in this field it's much. so i do believe i now have a valid reason not to pick it up. good thing i didn't just take it like i usually do. i said i would let her know tomoro. how about at mom's. tma class was canceled due to not enough students signed up. i found out today that there was no class tonight. nice huh? oh well, i went to work instead so instead of being 4 hours short for the week, i will have 12 hours of ot. not bad. let me know what we come up with for saturday. i get $50 back from state and nothing for renters credit. i just make way too much money. 3 more years and i get to keep it. wow!
Well, I changed the time zone so the posts should be a little more accurate. I am excited to see Shayla, of course. Saturday works for me, as far as I know. I have a cast party on Friday night, but at the moment that seems to be all for my weekend plans.
Anyway, I really just wanted to drop in and say hello. But now I should run off and get some of my homework done. I hope all of you are having a wonderful week.

hmmm....
ok, it is showing my last message (that I just posted) was 4:58 PM and it was (is) 7:16 PM! another mystery. :)
THIS SATURDAY
Hey all! Just got off the phone with Shayla; per her previous blog she will be home for a week - from this Wednesday and leaving mid next week. She is free this Saturday and we were thinking whoever else is available can come up so we can all hang out and play shang hai or whatever! I talked to Grandma as well and she is free Saturday for whatever we decide to do, wherever. So, who's in and whereto? I just left a voicemail for Brea, hoping she can come up this weekend but I'm not sure. Hope to hear back from her soon.
On a side note, this thing must not quite be real time...I checked it today after work, at about 545 pm and the last message was still mine, and then I came on now to post this and there is a message from Lisa that was time stamped just after 4 pm (even though it wasn't there at about 6).
That's all, folks! Jump on this band wagon and let us all know who can hang out Saturday and whose house we should invade!! :)

hello
Just wanted to say "hi" to everyone. Trying to make this a regular part of my routine.
I'm glad to hear a bunch of you made it to Sheila's funeral. I just couldn't take more time off. I really feel bad about that. This time of year I'm working 60-70 hours a week, and usually work until 8 or so. Anyway, glad to hear you guys could represent the Weigels for the rest of us.
Tammy, hope you got your taxes finished. I sent mine on Monday and had my state back on Friday. This efile stuff is pretty cool.
Good Job Jen!!
I'm sure you'll shed those few vacation pounds in no time.
I'm glad to hear you will be home this week Shayla. We will have to see if we can change a few things around and get up there to see you.
Where's Lu????? She hasn't been using this???? I really thought she and Kathy would be on it the most.
Anyway, gotta go. See ya!

Here I am! I must have done something wrong because it didn't work for me at first either but I've got it now (obviously). I haven't read all of the previous comments but I browsed through some of them. I have to say ditto to Shayla's comment about a thanks to Jess for the tips on Weight Watchers...I did the same thing to slim down a little before Jamaica and Trinidad and I lost a little over 20 pounds! I gained a few back on the trip but I'm still doing ok. :)
It was fun to see those of you that I saw after the funeral; thanks for sticking around to visit. It was really great to see Grandma.
Shay - not sure what my plans are while you will be in town but I will see if I can possibly come up on the weekend.
Jessi - did you register for the three day?
Brea - do you know the date of the wedding? Are we doing the three day?
Later all! :)

Nikki-
How's it going in sunny Cali? Bet you wish you were here on the Tundra with us:) Hope all is well. Saw your mom on Friday at the funeral for our cousin, Sheila. Drop us a line on here when you can. Grandma is doing well. Still adjusting insulin as she runs low blood sugars often. That may be a good sign. Maybe as she heals from the heart attack she will continue to get it reduced until she doesn't need it anymore. She does an excellent job watching what she eats! Talk to you later. -Kathy

re invites
I just sent another invite to Brea who couldn't get on when she tried earlier and one to Jenny because we had the wrong email address for her. Hopefully, we will be hearing from both of them soon.

I'm coming home!
So I just decided a couple of days ago that I am coming home for presidents weekend. I'll be flying into Brainerd on the 13th and flying out one week later on the 20th. I hope to spend lots of time at grandma's house. Probably school days, while my mom's teaching, I'll just ride with her and stay with Gramma for the day. Can't wait to see her, I hear her new hair cut is nice. If anyone is free, I'd love to come see you, or meet you at Gramma's.
Good luck on those taxes Tammy, I'm still putting it off. I have till April right?:) I'm sorry about the loss of your cousin.
As far as being in New York goes, my lease ends on may 31st and I'm planning to get the heck outta here. However, I am auditioning for a lot of summer jobs in the new york area (upstate, penn, connectict, jersey) so if I'm around I would love to come into the city and hang out with Hannah.
I've altogether decided that New York and I are just not a good match. My plan from now on is to spend every spring here (feb-may) which is the greatest time of the year to be auditioning. And then spend the rest of the year some place that has more to offer me as a city (nature, nice people, affordable rent, etc.) I'm thinking that next fall I'll either move to Seattle, Chicago, or good ol,' reliable Minneapolis. This must be the right thing for me, because ever since I made that decision, a cloud just lifted from me and I spend all of my free time smiling.

Hello to everyone...
this is all still really new to me. I know don't go online very often, but I thought you all were computer savvy. What's new????? I thought we were all going to be good and keep in touch via this blog.
Later......

Oh Shayla.....
Hey Shayla,
Just wanted to find out if you are coming home for the summer or if you will be staying in NYC. Hannah will be there in July for her summer mission trip. I don't have all the particulars yet, but, if you're out there, it might be fun if the two of you could hook up. I know her schedule will be pretty full, but I would think she will have some down time. I know the group will be going to a show - maybe one you're in?????
BTW, congrats on the weight loss:)
