Hello Everyone! Christmas is nearly here and this year is coming to an end. 2010 is going to be a great year for all of us.
I just sent off my final assignments for Psych. Yea!!! Now I just need help in ordering books. They changed something and my next class (English Comp.) isn't showing up.
Yes Tammy, I would very much like to look at the computer books. Also do you know how much a flash drive costs?
Merry Christmas everyone. See ya Wed. and/or Thurs. Tammy are you working new years eve night? If you are I'll call you at midnight-or there abouts. :)
Love to you all, Lu

Hello all. Lu, I have a couple books to help you out in your formatting assignments. A tip for now, if you double click at the very top of the page, you can typed your header. You put your page no's here also, then it will change with each page. When your ready to type your document, just double click anywhere on the page, below the header of course, and it will get you back to your document page. I will bring the books to Mom's if you want to use them. I would like them back when you're done of course because I am no expert and still use them to do stuff. But I have the basics down. So you can sure use them if ya want. I got alot of my practice transcriptions done today and two that I have to send in. My next chapter has 11 practice and 2 to send in. Hopefully, I can get them done tomoro so I can send them in. They all go to the school together. Not the practice ones, just the four to be graded. Kate's concert is tomoro and Logan might be coming over, so I might not get it all done but I hope so. This is really getting drug out. I could always work on my research:)... Oh boy! I'm sure I could get it done in no time, if I could just get motivated to do it. That's the hard part. Oh well, I'm all typed out for the day so I think I will play games for a little bit and go to bed and read for a while. See ya all in a few days hopefully. Yap at ya later. MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL.

OOPS
It's me again. Sorry about the large type. I set it that way so it's easier for me to read while I'm typing and forgot to put it back down to normal! Have a good one, People.
CHRISTMAS is NEXT WEEK
Hello Fellow Blogvillians. Can you believe it? Christmas in next Friday. Wednesday and Thursday for a lot of us. Mom is going to do presents for just the younger grandkids and all great grand. At least that's the plan so far. I think we're all on the same page there. Otherwise she has about 70 people to buy for!
I'm doing ok in psychology. I'm sure having trouble with formatting my written work tho. Specifically headers and footers. I can get in but then I can't get out. I can number a page but then they all get numbered -with the same number. GRRRRR. Still, I have a solid B going and that'll work.
Looks like we're out of the deep freeze for a few days. Yeah. It was only -13 but it felt like -30. We are going to Grey Eagle area-the Hub cafe, for lunch today, then to a concert, somewhere here in town at 2:30.
Take care and have a better-than-average-day. Love ya, Lu

Hello all, I didn't go to work today. I didn't feel good on Wed so I called in, yesterday I was feeling a little better but working where I do I figured I'd take another day off. Well, I could have went today but figured screw it. I have 240 hours built up so why not use it. So I didn't go today either. Now I have the weekend off. Too bad I didn't feel like doing anything. Oh well. Started working on Transcription 2. Lots of practice assignments to do. I think I have about 20 transcriptions to send in. I still haven't been graded for my last one yet. It takes forever. I won't be done by the end of the year. I will have it paid for though so I can use it as a write off. I didn't use it last year cause it wasn't paid off. So hopefully, this year I can use both which is about 1,300. That will be nice. Does the school usually send a statement or what? How do ya know what you can claim? I'm gonna do a couple more assignments, watch a movie and go to bed. Yap at ya all later.

Snooks says hello!
H i everyone. Snooks called Mom back tonite and I got to talk to her for a few minutes. She sounds fantastic! No other news at the moment. Are you all thinking about your new years resolutions? As usual I have about 30. :) I'll get it narrowed down to a handful by the end of the year. There's only 3 weeks to Christmas and 27 days left of the year.
Skip turns 57 tomorrow! See ya later. Lu

Hello
Hi everyone. Thanksgiving dinner was at Susan's and I definately had enough to eat. Kathy, I called you on my way home and also this morning. Thought maybe you and or the kids could come and play a game or two of cards. Sounds like you had a nice quiet personal day. That's usually a good thing too. What are you doing tomorrow? I have to go ring a bell for a couple hours in Sauk Rapids at noon but I'll be home before three.
Yes, Tammy I will be at bingo, and thanks. I plan to match your 5 boxes! I haven't even started yet but after 3 years of stuff being in storage it's time to let it go, give it a good home, and help someone see! We only do the garage sale every other year and we end up sending a check to the MN Lions Eyebank to the tune of about $7500. It's a wonderful feeling. I don't know what a cornea transplant costs but I know every penny of this money helps!
Hey Kath, my answer ... is dance-able music. Polka music can pull me out of the blues, as well as get me off the couch. I want to be down about 30 lbs. by, whenever, and I'm not waiting til Jan. to start. My goal wt. would be about 139 but right now I'd be happy to see 159! (That's 13 lbs!)
That means it's time to crank up some tunes and dust off the tread mill and get busy.
I love my wireless internet and my dvr cable! It's so cool. Love to all. Call Ron in the next day or two-while you're at it call Skip too. :)

Anyway, I'm going to bed. Working 10-10:30 tomoro and sun. Have a good day. Nighty Night. Yap at ya all later. Bingo on Tuesday. Lu you're going right? I have boxes for ya. I won't drag them along if you aren't going to be there.

Happy Thanksgiving
Just droppin in to say Happy Thanksgiving. Hope everyone is having a nice holiday. Mac, Brea, Blake and I went out for Mexican food last night for our Thanksgiving dinner. Not doing anything today. I am going to make a few calls to wish kids and Mom well, but otherwise.... Hope everyone is having a Happy Turkey Day. Love ya all. Kiash
Oh yeah.....What am I thankful for? Well, besides the obvious, I'm thankful for laughter (except when it makes milk come out of my nose :). Have a good laugh today. It's the best medicine, you know.

Happy Turkey Day
Nothing much new. Just wanted to wish everyone Happy Thanksgiving. I have to work but that's ok. Alot of the people there don't go home or get company so I don't mind being there with them. Kinda saying it's not so bad. I got my computer working faster again. I went to system restore and went back to the date I had it fixed and it worked. Awsome. I was thinking I should just go buy a new one instead of taking this one in again being that I just had it worked on a month or so ago. But I played around with it and got lucky. So I am pretty impressed with myself. I got my new files downloaded and ready to go. Hey, ya know that research assignment that I have to do (and still haven't started )? Well part of the reason I haven't started it is because I am supposed to interview a Dr. Well who is gonna take the time to answer interview questions right? I was thinking about it on the way to work today, thinking it sure would be nice if we had a Dr in the family. Ding, ding, ding...the bells were sounding and I thought of... Nikki. She is pretty darn close and I think they would accept that so I'm gonna give it a shot. The questions are pretty basic. Things like what made you decide to go in this field, specialized schooling, benefits, and stuff like that. So, when I decide to get started, at least I know who to send interview questions to. Not that that will make me get at it any quicker, but at least I have a plan. I HATE RESEARCH ASSIGNMENTS!!! Oh well, yap at ya all later. Oh yeah, Lu, I have 5 boxes of stuff to donate to the Lions. I can finally get them out of the living room. I refuse to put them back in the closet. Thanks for the suggestion. I will bring them to bingo on Tuesday. I have a box of clothes too but I'll drop that one off at Savers. Thanks again for finding a home for this stuff. I hate to just throw it away, but I was seriously thinking about it. Nighty Night.

Greetings, Earthlings
Hi everyone! Lu here. Happy Thanksgiving! I have a new laptop, yeah! I also updated our Charter bundle, so now I have a dvr and wireless internet.
I have Psychology this class and just for this week I have about a dozen assignments to do. Most of which involves writing a 200-300 word response to the text and then defending my standing from at least two of my classmates as well as challenging at least two of theirs. But I new it would be hard for me going in so all I can do is give it my best shot. I have access to help plus Kathy already volenteered to help me with English Comp.
You're sure right, Kathy and Tammy, about typing faster. I'm by no means fast but I see improvement. (now I'm up to warp turtle speed!) :)
Jen, if you're reading, I hope you all enjoy the movie and have a good time, I'll see you Thurs, Tam I'll see you next Tues. Everyone else-I'll catch ya later. Take Care, Love ya , Lu

Nothing new, just checking to see if anyone has been on here. My weekend off. We were gonna go out to eat but Glen's working late and has to get up at about 2 so it's a no go for tonight. Maybe tomoro night. I ran to St Cloud to get a real pair of shoes. It was buy one get one half off so I got a second pair. I got my assignment back so I sent in my last one for that class. Now I should get started on transcription 2. My computer sucks again and I have to download all the new files so that could take a while. I'm gonna give it a try. I'll yap at ya later.

SHOES
Good Morning People, Lu here.
Tammy,Susan worked in the shoe dept. at Wal-Mart and customers were always leaving them on the floor or worse, putting them back in the wrong boxes. Apparently they'd pull out several pairs at once (or half pairs),and not pay attention if and when they put them back.
I had fun Tues. night as well. Bingo was even more fun. I got down to one or two away quite a few times. Oct 1st starts a new quarter so my Lions nights are not the same as Bingo nights. (Bingo is every other week, Lions is 2nd and 4th Tues) Every quarter has one month with 5 Tuesdays- five every days, actually-so this qtr is Bingo. I don't have to go either but I'm guessing Mom will want to go the week after Thanksgiving.
The Mom Report is they are having a good time. Mom's donating and Ed is "holding his own". They did the mini tour of the dam -only 2 hours, and Ed could hardly walk the next day. Mom says she's ok. She says hello to all.
Thanks Kathy!! Kathy came over after school yesterday and helped me get my files transfered from old computer to new. I don't think I have wireless here tho, so I'm going to check that out today.
Sorry this got so long. Have a great day! Love ya, bye.

Thanks for the fun night. Just want to give you all a hint when buying shoes. Make sure they match and you have a right and left shoe. When I got home, I went to lace up my shoes only to find that they are two different styles and they are both for the left foot. Guess I'll be going back to Shopko. How in the heck did that happen? I thought maybe I put them in the wrong box but I didn't even try the one style on. Crazy huh? Oh well. Yap at ya later.

Thank you Thank you
Thanks for the birthday wishes. Is Mom already on her trip? Lu of course you can crash the party. The info was for you and Mom. I didn't really expect you Kathy to come. I know you stay up late to get your stuff done for the next day and get up early. But it will be great for you to come. I can't handle too many margaritas. Any color dobber will do. Something cool. If Mom isn't home, we wouldn't neccessarily have to go to bingo. I don't care if we go or not. It would be fun I spose. Jessi left me a message to meet her early for a private piano recital. Anyone up for that? I'm sure she won't mind if you come. She was planning on Mom and me but I'm sure she won't mind a few extra people. It's actually a practice recital. The main one is Saturday I think. She is gonna take us to the school I think. Let me know if you are interested. She's thinking about 5:30. I got my $50 check from Penn Foster for my referal of myself today. That's cool. Maybe I'll buy myself a new pair of work shoes. I was just saying today at work that I need a new pair of shoes. I get my mail and there's a check for my new shoes. How wonderful is that? See ya both tomoro at 6 for sure. Yap at ya later.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TEEJ :)
Hey hey hey, can I crash your party too? Maybe we'll all buy you a margarita!
Mom called and they didn't get to their room til about 8:30 our time so they were going to eat and go to bed early.
She liked Katie's play, said it was pretty funny an cute but also she also said she missed alot because she couldn't hear some parts.
Today is the last day of my first class. Guess what, I passed!!! :)
Well, it's bedtime! Have a great day Tam and we'll see you tomorrow night. You really should win on your birthday, don't you think? What color dauber can you not live without? Toodles.

Sorry I didn't post the play earlier. As far as taxes go, I already did the 8 for two checks when they took all my back pay so I dont think I should do it again. Thanks for the heads up though. Logan texted me this morning to wish me happy birthday. He doesn't have his phone during basic but he has a weekend pass so he got it back. It was awsome to yap with him. We texted for an hour and a half. He will be home Dec 17 and doesn't have to go back. They are fast tracking his training so he will start weekend drills when he gets home instead of going back. Cool huh? I was so happy to hear from him. I gotta go to work, just wanted to update on Logan. See ya at bingo, me and Jess are going to Mexican Village before bingo if you wanna come. We are meeting there at 6 and skipping early birds. Hope to see ya there. The one by the Emporium. That includes you too Kathy. I know you have to get up early but it would be nice to see ya. Gotta go. Yap at ya later.
Hey Kate- How did the play go? Wish I would have checked the blog a day earlier so I could have come to see it.
Tammy- definately change your dependants to 8 or more for this one check, or it will be much smaller than it should be. You can do that twice a year without it affecting your taxes.
I have been watching Grey's Anatomy. I never watched the series on tv and am now watching the whole season dvd's. I love this show. I'm on Season 2, first disc only. Now I will have to wait a few days to get the next ones. I am lovin Netflix though.
Not much is new. I am running Mom and Ed to the airport tomorrow cuz Lu has to work. they don't know that yet, but I will call them in the morning. I have school work to get to tomorrow night.
Hope all is well with everyone. Love ya, Kiash

WOW!
Hey Tam, If I were you, I'd change my w-4 for this pay period. (To about 8) Then change it back for next time. You'll get to keep an extra $500 or so, and doing that once or twice a year won't change much on your taxes. This time of year I'm sure you could use it. I sure know what y0u mean about the ot cut off. What should have been (by far) my biggest check ever was not even close! I was so mad!
I work Sat, Mon & Tues. then I think I'm going to find something up here. I've done the math enough times to know I am not making more money by working. I was until I got the pay cut but not any more.
I've got a couple more days left of my first class. So far so good. (19 more 5 week classes to go.)
My new books have not arrived yet, I hope they're here by Tues nite when I get back home. My school week starts on Tuesday, ends on Monday. There's no break between classes either. I can see already the new course is going to be very hard.
I'm bringing Mom and Ed to the airport on Sunday. They are headed for Vegas and they will also go see the dam. What time is the play Sat. nite? 7 ish? I'll tell Mom in the a.m.
Time for bed. Catch ya later.

Lu, the night crew is really down in staff. The night I picked up, there was only 3 staff for the whole place. They usally are staffed at 6. So I picked it up. I was babysitting for a girl from work who had her tonsils out and was on pain meds. She didn't want to chance it with a little one and her husband had to work so I watched the little one til Andy got home. Then I went to check the schedule because I said I would pick up the 10-2 shift, only to find out one of the nurses called in so one of the aids, who is a tma, got pulled to the cart, which left 1 aid for the whole building, which is now back up to 86 residents. I was hoping for a call in the morning to say I didn't have to work my regular shift, but it didn't come. Neither did my golden oportunity come to think of it. This is my first day off since I got back from Breezy. I have 20 hours of ot already this week. I worked overnight on sun, regular shift on mon, picked up the 10-2(working 2-10 first)tues, wed, and thurs. I'll probably do it again tomoro then I'm done for this paycheck. I refuse to work over 25 hours of ot. I'm not sure where the cutoff is before the jump to the next tax bracket, but I think 25 is enough. So I got all my ot in in one week.
Kate is in a play tonight at 7 at the high school. It goes again tomoro night at 7 but I gotta work so me, Glen and Jess are going tonight.
I finally got my last assignment graded. This one took forever to get graded. I don't have it back yet. I sent it in on the 17th, it got returned from Pittsburg for extra postage on the 27, I added a stamp and sent it back in, they recieved it last week sometime and finally graded it so I should get it back sometime next week. They suggest not to send in additional assignments until you recieve the previous one back so you can see where you made mistakes. I have the next one done, I've had it done for quite awhile, I think I typed it up as soon as I got the other one done. Being that I got a 90 on the last one, I should just send it. But, I'll probably follow the rules and wait to get the other one back. I got my new books for the next and final class. It's transcription 2 but I'm guessing it will be more advanced. So, I spose I should wait to see my mistakes so I can keep up with the expectations.
I spose I should get to work around here. I am getting buried in hair, dirt, and dust in this place. Time to vacuum, sweep, scrub and dust. I didn't get up until just about noon and leaving at 6, so I best get busy. Yap at ya later.

Hi Tammy,
I plan to write on here too. I got busy but I sure missed it. I was just finishing my homework (so far so good), then I was gonna blog.
Who were you babysitting and why are you doing overniters and getting up at 8?
As for Breezy I wanna sign up for next year already. Hopefully I'll have a job by then and I'll let them know I need 4-5 days off. Fri-Tues at least. It was sooo nice.
I have a couple job possibilities, now that Kelber is winding down for the season, I'll check them out. I'll keep y'all posted. Lu

I am gonna plan on posting on here once in a while whether anyone else does or not. Kinda like talking to myself but I do that all the time. I should really go to bed cause I'm doing an overnight tonight. I am tired cause I have been up at 8 for three days in a row. Not that that's early for most people but it is for me. I babysat this morning and was thinking about taking a nap but I said yes to an overnight at work so I should really try to get that nap in. I work til 6:30 a.m. and go back in a 2 tomoro. Nighty night. Yap at ya all later.

Party's over
Just because Breezy's over doesn't mean we should stop using the blog. Let's keep it going. I had a great time. Just got home an hour or so ago. Doing laundry. Yap at ya all later.

not tomoro but the next day
Lu, I don't usually talk to Lisa before we go. I know she goes up so I call her when I leave the house to see where she's at or leave a message. I am bringing my cooler up. I decided not to bring breakfast pizza although it is very good. Go ahead and bring soap and stuff just to be on the safe side. I am pretty much ready to go as far as packing goes. Last minute things that I'm still using will get thrown in when I'm done with them Friday morning. See ya all in a few days.
No golden opportunity as of yet:( yap at ya all later.

Hi Everyone. It's getting closer by the minute. I haven't talked to Lisa, I've been back at home since Sat night, so I don't know her casino plans. Tammy-do you usually talk to her before heading out? I think she's like me and just wants to pop in there for a bit. Now that it's def. w/ the girls not coming I will also just be there for a short time. We can all compare our winnings! when we get to the room. :) Is everyone packed already? Do we need another cooler? A agree with the not bringing up food, however Mom and I do plan to bring up some staples from home:coffee, filters, sugar, cooking oil, napkins, paper towels,2 bags of Doritos(1 ranch and 1 original) -most of which is left overs from other parties/events and got saved for Breezy. Do we need paper plates-we have a bunch? Is there dish soap up there or do we bring it?
At last count I'm pretty sure we are 12 this year, plus a maybe on Melissa. I can't wait to to eveyone. Lu

3 More Days!!!
I woke up this morning, pulled up the blog and smiled. I love it. No job offer yet;), I'm really not expecting one. Although state is here, maybe they'll offer me a job. Pam, just so ya know, we usually don't bring food up. We used to all bring stuff and we ended up taking alot home so we decided to go shopping once we get there. I thought of that when I said I would bring breakfast pizza. I don't know if I should bring it not as the fridge is so overloaded with beverages and groceries. I am bringing my cooler up again for beverages. Lu, I plan on being at Breezy by 3 or so. I'm not gonna sit at the casino for 3 hours. It's nice to get up there early and get situated before the crowd starts and everyone is hauling up and trying to put away. I still plan on being at the casino about noon. I'll find Lisa, have lunch at Plums, play for awhile and head up. I'll see everyone in a few days. Yap at ya all later.
Breezy Update
Brea and I won't be getting out of Moorhead until around 4:30, so we probably wont be to Breezy until the evening. I'm not sure of specifics, but we won't be getting into the area in time to hit the casino. We'll see you up there Friday night, though! :)

Hi All,
Hi Pam, glad your plans are still on for the weekend.
Tammy, I was just planning on stopping for a while at the casino. I'd like to head up to Breezy by 3 or so. I don't want to spend alot of money, but it's fun to try for a little while. I haven't heard back from Mac and Brea yet so I don't know if any of us are going get together til we get up to the room. Also Tam, I'm glad you're taking the just say no route :-) Lu

Breezy Time
Like all of you, it's nice to see some activity. I was checking a while back and there was nothing...it's nice to see it's picked up again. I don't seem to have enough hours in the day anymore...I've been told that's a sign of old age! Tell me it isn't so!!!
It was nice to see some of you guys at Nikki's little gathering...thanks for coming, I know she appreciated it!
I haven't heard whether Melissa is coming to Breezy or not. I do have the weekend off (Sat/Sun) but work Friday and Monday. I have an appt w/Red Cross at the VA to donate blood on Friday, so (as long as my blood is ok) I will get off 4 hours early from work :) at 8pm. Thought I'd leave from work, so I'd get up there late and leave Sunday afternoon. That is my plan as of now...I'll let you know if anything changes.
BTW, I have leftover Italian Turkey and white buns from Nikki's party that are in my freezer, that I'd gladly bring along. Any other suggestions? I have the ingredients (except the vegis) for Rotini Salad, too, if that sounds like something you'd all like. Just let me know.
Thanks for Logan's address...I'll send him a note!!
Gotta get ready for work...

4 more days
Lu, yeah it would be cool to get offered and then say no. This isn't what I'm looking for. It would give me clerical experience but nothing really to do with what I am looking to do at home. I really doubt they will offer it. I just let the horoscope get my imagination working. I have decided I am absolutely not going to apply. I'm sure they still have my ap and interview notes on file. It wasn't that long ago.
I check Craigslist and every once in a while they have medical office postings. I dont remember if I posted this info already or not but I checked on Medical Assistant with Pennfoster and I would only have to take one class. So when I'm done with transcription, I will take that. When I'm all done, I could pretty much run a small clinic. So that's the plan. I want to stay at the nursing home through March any way. I have 2 weeks vacation this year. I am using 3 days for the weekend and I'll use 3 or 4 for Bristol. That gives 3 or 4 more days to burn up. I should be done with my classes and then I will get serious about looking for something else.
I'm not sure what time I'm going to the casino. I don't have much money this year. What time are you planning on going up to the room? I don't really want to sit at the casino for 3 or 4 hours. I'm thinking an hour or so. Maybe I'll go up around noon. That would be plenty early for me. I got up this morning and started packing. I am gonna make a couple pans of breakfast pizza for Saturday morning breakfast. I'll make it here and we can warm it up in the microwave. I love this stuff. I make it quite often. Anyway, I'll see ya at the casino probably. I'm sure I'll talk to ya before that. Yap at ya all later.

Hi Tam
Hi Tammy, It would sure suck to get turned down a second time for thr same job but if you would actually get this job would that experience help you do the at home stuff? Or would it be one or the other? It would be cool to let them think you were interested then tell them no. Like the way they treated you the first time around. I know this was any help but you'll figure it out.
Do you plan to be at the casino by 11 or so? If so, I'll see you then. Lu

4 more days of work...then 5 days off!!!
Wow. It pays to whine I guess. I know everyone is busy. I don't check this as often as I used to either. But it is great to see some of you come back. To answer the casino question, I will go up on Friday. I got my hours cut due to low census. I work on a 18 bed unit and we had 8 open beds, with 3 of the occupied beds being totally indepenant. Therefore, I only had 7 people who needed any help. I was the only aide there because there wasn't enough work to keep us busy. But we got a resident pretty much every day last week so the census went back up to 16. So, I won't be getting my hours cut and I got my Aide back. The nursing home is crazy that way. But even if they started letting people go, I think I would be pretty safe. I think they would just continue to cut hours before they let anyone go. There's alot of us there so we would probably only lose a day a pay period. I don't know cuz we filled back up.
There's a in-house posting for HUC again. I didn't apply. Don't know if I will. If I wasn't good enough last time why would I be this time around. The funny thing is, my horoscope says " A golden opportunity will land in your lap this week, but for some reason you'll be reluctant to take it. Maybe you don't want the extra responsibilities it is likely to bring...or maybe you're happy with your existence the way it is. Whatever the reason, it's OK to say no. Your life, your decision." When I seen the posting on Thursday, I just kinda laughed. I probably won't apply but if they offer it to me, I'd have to think it about it. I thought it was kinda funny with the golden opportunity falling in my lap. Tuesday is the deadline to apply. We'll see what happens. Am I being stubborn or do you see my point? The hours would be nice. That's about the only thing that has me thinking about it. Anyone who reads this, let me know what ya think. I only have today and tomoro for feedback. I would really hate to apply and be rejected again. I seriously think I probably won't. Am secretly hoping they will offer it to me anyway. Then I would say let me think about it and I will let you know when I come back next week. Or I should say yes, and if I change my mind, I can let them know when I come back next week. Wow, this got pretty lengthy. See ya all in 5 days. I will check this tomoro to see if anyone gave me their opinion. I act like they are seriously gonna offer me the job. It's all if, if, if. We'll see how the horoscope plays out.Yap at ya all later.

Hi Mac
Lisa and Tammy usually meet at 11. Gramma has Sr. Center activities, (a halloween party til noon, lunch, then setting up for pancake breakfast). At this point she doesn't know if she is going to the casino or not. Tammy hasn't decidied as of yet if she's going this year.
I am going, I'll probably be there by 11-ish and hang out for a few hours. Jenny and Connie also have the day off and are planning to head out late moring or early afternoon, pos. hit the shops, and pick up groceries. Can't wait. Talk to you soon. Lu

Breezy Plans
We are inside of one week to Breezy! Hooray!
Brea and I might be joining the group that goes to the casino, but we're not positive yet. What time do you guys usually swing through and what do you do there? We're tentatively planning to leave here in the afternoon, but it all depends on my rehearsal schedule. I'm supposed to be running rehearsal on Friday night but I think I'm going to delegate that to someone else so that I can be on my way earlier. Otherwise I wouldn't even be leaving Moorhead until about 11, and that's no fun. Even though I know people would still be awake if I didn't get there until 2 in the morning. :)
It's nice to see some life on this blog again. We should keep it up better this time around.

BREEZY IS THIS WEEK!!!!!!
Hi Everyone, Luke here.
I'm glad we're all getting back on here. I wrote back to back messages. in Sept,
2 1/2 weeks apart, then got busy. I'll try to be more active.
Can you believe it, Breezy's finally here!!! Yeah!!!
Tammy, right now Lisa plans to meet you at the casino. I tried to last year but I got busy, so I was going to go this year. I sure understand if you don't do it though. Also,I feel your pain about the hours. That's what happened to me too. For me, it was like missing a whole weeks' pay every month. With my budget, it didn't take long to make a difference. With your sit. there's no chance of you losing your job is there? Aren't you pretty high on the seniority list? (Or doesn't it work that way?)
I am done at Kelber for a while. I just had two really nice weeks but it's over. The slow down is here and I took myself off the roster 'til Spring. I'll still go down on a wkd if they get busy.
I can't wait til Friday. I hope we get the bigger room. It's reserved but we won't know til Mom gets there. It's $150 if we get it so it's going to cost about $15 a head, excluding Mom, of course. I'm bringing 2 air mattresses, so if anyone needs one it's available.
See ya in 5 1/2 days. Love Ya!

Hi Everyone, or should I say Tammy? Okay. We HAVE been slacking. But, last time I posted, no one else had posted for quite awhile, so I thought no one used this anymore. I'll start checking it again if someone actually reads and posts. Breezy is a week from tomorrow. Yeehah.
I've been super busy with work. Work at home on it most nights. Gettin tired of that though. Just can't get to much during the day except teaching and there's so much more to do. Oh well. Time is flying!!
Hope all is well with everyone and see you in a week! Love ya, Kiash

9 days and counting
Everybody must be so busy. Why doesn't anyone post on here anymore? I realize not everyone plays on the computer every day but you all must use it once in awhile. I thought we were gonna keep in touch on here. Oh well. See ya all at Breezy. I guess Mom is gonna see if she can upgrade to the bigger room and we can all pitch in to pay the difference. I am still plugging away at my transcription. Actually, I have all the ones I have to send in done. I should be working on all the practice ones that I don't have to turn in but I just haven't been working on it all that much. And of course I still have the research assignment. ISH!! Yap at ya all later.

15 days and counting
I hope everyone is getting ready for Breezy. I sure am. I don't know if I'm gonna stop at the casino on the way up or not. Not only did the OT cease at work but our census is so low that we are getting cut a little. At least she gave me the option of what day I wanted off. I have Friday off so naturally I took Saturday. It sucks to go from 15 or so hours of OT to not even 40 hours. Hopefully, it wont last long. Just to give you a picture... I have 8 open beds on a 18 bed unit. My unit is the worse because I work on the Rehab wing, (I'm guessing there's not a lot of elective surgeries going on) but, it's kinda short all over. People are dying and beds aren't getting filled up. I think our census is down to 69. We are a 87 bed facility. I just looked at the clock and I have to go to work. I will let ya all know if I'm stopping at the casino or not. I probably will. Just not spend much. Yap at ya all later.

huh???
Kate, although that looks quite interesting, I'm sure it's a secret code, but it's late and I don't feel like trying to figure it out. Uncode it please. I hope you're feeling better. I'm tired and going to bed. Good night. I'll check back tomorro to see if you fixed it.

BUSY
Hey everyone, this is the first time I have been on here in forever! I'm at home today. I was told I could not go to school. Which made me mad cuz I was shooting for the perfect attendance thing but not happening again this ear. Last year I only missed 2 days and that's cuz I was so sick I could barely move. On Friday I was not feeling the greatest but went to the football game and then to a friends house after wards. Saturday morning I woke up and I had a temp of 103.8 and Sunday I had a temp of 101.7 and today its only 99.3. I have been staying busy with School, and Cross Country. Working at church every Sunday and Wednesday and the second Tuesday of every month plus working at pizza hut Saturday and Sundays. I have not missed on football game yet. the first couple of games I think that they forgot how to play as a team but remembered how it was done after the first two games. We played KMS on their homecoming and they put up the sign that said 2008 Class A State champs. Well I don't think that was a smart idea on their part cuz it fired up our boys and we ended up beating them 42-9. Our over all record is 4-2. we play USA on Wednesday. Hopefully that will make our record 5-2. USA is a hard team though.

Logan's address
Hey Mac, glad to hear school is going well for ya. I agree with you on this blog thing (or lack of). I used to check it all the time and find that I was the last one to post anything. I know I have no life but I figured people would write something once in a while. I am looking forward to Breezy. Yes it is the last weekend in Oct. That's only three weeks away.
I am still working on my medical transcription. I checked on Medical Assistant through Penn Foster and I would only need to take one class because I the outline is the same as billing and coding and transcription. So, I'm guessing I'll probably take that while I'm at it.
I came on here to post Logan's address. NO PACKAGES AT THIS POINT! Here it is:

I'm sick of typing now cause I have been doing homework for quite a while, so I'll yap at ya all later. Besides, I want to go watch the game. There's only a few laps of the race left so now I'll watch the game. See ya in a few weeks.

Hello from collegeland!
Hey hey hey!
How's everyone doing these days? It's getting quiet around here again... so I'm trying to write some life into our little corner of the internet world.
College is good. It's actually way easier than I expected, which is kind of pitiful because I was expecting it to be easy, at least this semester. I've been keeping myself fairly busy with working in the theatre and whatnot, because I'm doing my workstudy there and it's also my major. I spend a lot of time in the shop working on sets and lights and random organizational stuff. Most of the time it's pretty cool, but sometimes it's really annoying. Oh well.
I just had my first midterm today, which is really strange. We're already about halfway through the semester. It seems like it's going by a lot faster than I was expecting it to, which is good. I'm done for the semester on the 16th of December, and I don't start the spring semester until the 11th of January, which is great. I think I'll probably spend most (if not all) of that time in Brainerd. But I guess that depends on what else I have going on around then, and if I have to be in Moorhead for some reason.
I'm sort of surprised that no one has mentioned anything about Breezy on here yet. Last year we were talking about it already in September, and now it's already October. We need to get on that. :) I'm excited for Breezy, of course. Can't wait to see all the Weigel Women and spend some time catching up. I'm assuming Breezy is Halloween weekend, again?
Anyway, I hope this finds some life out there somewhere. :)

Hello everyone. Just thought I would give an update on the job search. I was hoping to get into the at-home transcription without having to go somewhere first, but it's not looking good. I spent alot of time looking yesterday without much luck. I did find one, but, you need to type 70 words a minute and it's on their time, not yours. They send stuff that needs to be immediately so that won't work. I am hoping for something I can do on my time and still keep my job. But it states in the beginning that this is not a part time position that you can do on your own scedule. Oh well. I got myself excited about this but it might not happen that way. There might be something out there, I just haven't found it yet. Other than that, it's pretty much the same ole stuff. I'm still working on all the reports I have to turn it to the school. And of course, I still have a research project to do. We all know how I love those. I hope everyone is doing fine and getting ready for winter. I hear it's spose to be colder than usual this year.Yippee! Breezy is coming right up. See ya all there. I went to Target yesterday and they have Christmas stuff out already. How sick is that? Anyway, I spose I should go. Yap at ya all later.

I'M BAAAACK!
Hi all. Vegas was fun. The weather was perfect for relaxing by (and in) the pool and short walks but a little warm for long ones. (Temps ranged from low 90's to 103 on the last day) However, the buses, trams and casinos had ac so all was well. It was such a nice break and we all had a great time. We saw the sights, and took in a show or two, drank a little, ate alot. Did some shopping, even a little buying, and of course spent some quality time on the slot machines. Walking at night was fantastic. The nights were cool and the lights were a show in themselves! One of my favorites was actually a free show. The "dancing waters" at the Bellagio. Hundreds of spigots in a pool orchastrated to dance to the music. One of the songs was All that Jazz from Chicago and another was from Elvis.
I even brought a couple dollars home with me, I think that makes me a winner, right? Seed money for next time. We're thinking maybe 3 years from now instead of 5. we'll see.
Hope everyone had a great summer! I Love you all, hope you know how special you are to me. See ya soon. Just me :) Lu

Internet up and Running
Okay, Everyone. At least I had a good excuse (no internet for a few months), what's yours? Man, no one has posted in months! So let me be the first. (jk)
I went fishing with Jesse yesterday. We caught a few sunnies and 2 bass. (Or rather he did. I only caught little ones that we didn't keep.) We had a great fish supper afterwards, and he left his boat here for me to use. Awesome. I went out fishing today for a little bit but didn't keep any.
I am back to work in a week. Two of the principals in our district want to meet with me to discuss the ESL program when I get back. Don't know what that is about, but hopefully nothing to worry about.
Mitch is going to Milwaulkee 6:00 am tomorrow for his audition on Tuesday. He already has the job, providing he can deal cards. I am going to go along and bum around while he is busy. Maybe I'll just sit by the lake.
Anyway, that's it for now. -Kiash

JUST SAYING HELLO
Hi everyone. The job search is a little slow right now. Last week I got almost 55 hours in at Kelber. That's counting Sunday, which is actually their last day of the week. Still, it's going be about 8 hours of OT on my next check. That's thanks to the internat'l Lions convention! Even tho I was working instead of playing (VERY SMART CHIOCE!) I met alot of folks from "out of town". This event is in Austrailia next year.
I 've been checking into a bunch of online jobs but so far none that I'm brave enough to persue further. How do you tell a scam from one that's legit.? I'm also thinking of applying in the cities. So far I'm only my radius is about 50 miles from LF. I almost got into what used to be Potlatch but they had "filled the position". Coborns is hiring again and I checked that out on Friday. One of my Lion's buddy's is the produce mgr. in Clear Water and I talked to him on my way thru. Fri. They will work around just about any schedule. I got an ap so I'll keep you posted. I still get unemployment $ when I work less than 32 hours a week. (No bennies for last week.)
Mom and Ed went down the river on a pontoon trip recently. It was a fishing trip too. They were out for about 4-5 hours and had a good time. Kathy and I (and Pam) are trying to get together with her to do the Mississippi Belle out of Brainerd some time this summer. Everyone's invited-just don't have a date yet. Also it's about $15 for a 2 hour tour.
Mom's going to go to the horse races on the 25th. I won't know my schedule til next Thurs. but it sound like fun. Lisa is getting them tickets. (Don't know if Ed's
Ed's going yet.
I'm gonna run. Things to do before (and on the way) back down to Lisa's. I'm stopping at a friends' to pick up a dvd and cd's on Xango. It's a juice product from magos that's supposed to be great for your health. I'd be selling it, if I'm convinced. It's an MLM deal. Still skeptical at this point. I'll keep you posted.
I have a 7:00 start tom. (Actually I get 5 days again (m-sat w/ th off) and all of them are my favorite start time! Yea! See ya soon. If you know about a job offer - or ideas-please let me know. Love you all, Luke.
I forgot to mention, Ron popped in on Snooks and she's improving and going home next week. Ted is making the place wheel chair ready. Her speech is getting better but her right side is still pretty inactive.

They giveth and they taketh
I went down to the cities for training today only to be informed that I do not have adequate computer skills and need not return to training. I was surprised about the call, but kinda ok with it also as it sounds like something I probably wouldn't like anyway. It would have looked good on my resume but that's ok. We were told it is a two month position with no chance of turning into anything permanent. The drive down went very well. Flew right down. The drive back sucked. Probably about 2 1/2 or 3 hours. Ish. And hot! My air only works for a short time and the temp guage goes up so I didn't chance it driving all that way. I could just see me stranded on the side of the road with a hot car. I am trying to baby it a little cause I just turned it over to 222,222 miles last week. I was a little worried driving it down there but it ran good. It does run pretty good, but I don't usually go very far. I wasn't sure what was gonna happen on the long drive but it made it down and back. Anyway, I will be glad to call Tammy (the scheduler) tomoro morning and let her know I am staying. She will be glad, as will the residents. I seriously don't think I could have lived up to the standards and demands to this scanning job. So I am really ok with the fact that it didn't work out for me. Better this way than to start the job and totally suck at it. It wasn't meant to be I guess. The whole process was kinda screwey from the get go anyway. The temp agency was kinda trying to talk me out of it because it was a paycut. I thought that was kinda wierd but I wanted to try it anyway. Oh well. Back to the nursing home I go. I reached my next level there so I will be bumped another .50 an hour. This temp job would have been about 11.50, which is over 2.00 less than the nursing home. That's another reason I'm ok with it not working out. I thought it was kind of silly for me to take a paycut when I just got my pay straightened out but I figured it would only be a couple months and it would be good experience. I'm babbling so I will sign off. I just wanted to update everyone on the job status. Yap at ya all later.

College
Ello Weigels!
It has gotten a bit slow around the realm of Weigel blogging, but I suppose that happens. It's nice to see some signs of life around here. :)
Not a whole lot is going on in my world, mostly just planning for college. I'm going to MSUM (Minnesota State University Moorhead), so I went there on 18th to register for my classes. I'm taking Principles of Acting, Intro To Mathematics, Speech Communications, Understanding Movies, and Intro to Cultural Anthropology. I got out of the basic composition class because I took AP English in high school, which is pretty nice. I'm pretty excited for Cultural Anthropology, and the movies class apparently involves watching movies and discussing them. I think both of those classes are going to be pretty fun. Not sure what to expect in Principles of Acting, but I'm not worried about it. After spending so much time working in theatre, the base level acting class shouldn't be challenging for me. I'm going to major in Theatre, with an emphasis in Theatrical Technology and Design. I'm trying to get into a class called technical theatre methods, but it's full. I sent an email to the professor to see if I can get an override from him to let me take it anyway, but I haven't heard back yet.
Classes start on August 24th, with orientation the Friday before. I'm going to be living off-campus, with Brea. It's a really awesome deal, because it saves me money and she lives less than two blocks from the school. I'm not entirely sure when I'm going to be moving to Moorhead yet. I'll know more as it gets closer.
Congratulations on the job, Tammy. That sounds pretty cool. I hope it turns into something permanent, so that you didn't waste your time getting hired and everything.
Working for the park service sounds pretty cool, Shayla. Counting mountain goats sounds like an interesting way to spend your time. I hope you like it.
So yeah. Not too much is new aside from college plans.
Anyone else out there in the blog realm? Come say hi!

I got the job!!
Hello everyone. I figured I would let ya all know that I got the job. I work at the nursing home mon, tues, and wed, go to training on thurs and fri, work sat and sun, and start the new job on mon. The training is in the cities somewhere. I'm guessing it's at Embassy Suites in Bloomington cause that's where they reserved a room for me so I don't have to drive back and forth. Nice of them huh? I'm excited, I hope it turns into something permanent. As of now it just goes through Sept but we'll see. It's about $1 pay cut but if it turns into permanent work, I would imagine it would be more than I'm making now. Hopefully, I will like it.
Shayla, Logan's party went pretty good, not many people but that was ok. It was nice to be able to visit with everyone. I will tell Jessi you are waiting for her. We are planning on going to the Domincan Republic next March so I don't know what her finances will allow but I will tell her to think about it any way.
Where is everyone? This hasn't been very busy lately.
Not much else is new, I'll keep ya all posted as to how the job is going. Yap at ya later.

Rocky Mountain High
Hey everyone~
I hope Logan's grad party went off well. Glad it was a nice day for you. I hope Logan raked in a little cash, since we all know that's what it's really about. :) I can't believe he's going into training soon. Sounds nuts! How's the rest of the bunch doing. Next time you all see Jessie, tell her to get her butt out here! But say it with love, of course.
I'm having another great summer out here. I've been hiking like a mad woman. I'll hit 200 miles tomorrow. And I'm really glad to see that my body can totally handle it. I've never been much of an athlete, so I'm impressed that I can hike everyday and not get too worn out. I'm starting to think of all kinds of crazy hiking/mountain climbing adventures for my future. I'm not sure which of them I'll actually be able to do, but I'm gonna try a couple I hope. I was hoping to climb mount Rainier this year out in Washington, and then perhaps Mount Whitney in California, the tallest in the 48. And if those go well I'd like to plan something even bigger, like Denali (McKinley) or Kilimanjaro in Africa. Those things cost a little bit of money though. I'm also thinking a lot about hiking some or all of the Appalachian trail. Jesse and I are both talking about that actually. I feel like that would be a hell of an acheivement. Plus a great way to see that part of the country. I hear it's pretty amazing on the trail, the Smokies, the Blue Ridge Mountains, Shenandoah National Park, the White Mountains, the Green Mountains, and a whole bunch more.
I'm volunteering for the park service part time. Which involves me hiking to a designated site with a spot scope and some binoculars and trying to count all the mountain goats or Pikas I see in a 360 degree scan around the area. I like it. It's a good way for me to help out since I'm always on the mountain anyway. And it's always good to score points with the rangers.
Jesse and I are talking a lot about moving to Seattle again this fall, it seems the most likely. We're also considering Salt Lake City, but that depends on a few things which we won't know about till August or so. I'd be happy either way, but Seattle seems like the easist since I could already get work there. That's kind of a big deal these days.
Summer has begun to do it's thing and fly by more quickly then I'm able to keep track of. I mean it's great an all, but it sure is fleeting. I know it just started though, so I probably shouldn't worry about that yet.
Does anyone know much about finding health insurance when you don't have a job that offers it? To me it seems like the bottom line is, it's a crock of shit! Is there anyway to pay a reasonable amount of money and actually get coverage. I wish Obama and I could have a little conversation about this and see what he's planning and how long it'll take to come to effect. But I figure he's kind of a busy guy. I am too.
Well I suppose that's enough talkin' at ya all for now. Have you found out more about that job yet Tammy? Are you doing it for sure? Sounds like a good opportunity.
TTFN,
Shayla

It's almost party time!!!
Hi Tammy. Yes to both; coolers and vegies. (And my eggs.) I'll pick up the ice on my way out of town in the morning. I'll also make up stuff after I get there. Esp. eggs. Everything's already done, so it'll be easy to whip up vegie trays and stuff the eggs. We also have plastic-ware, napkins and I think plates. Do you want the single roll of plastic balloon table cloth we used for Mom's party? Do you have a basket for cards? (Do you want one? :) ) My goal is to leave here at about 10:30ish, so holler before then if there's anything else I can do or pick up. I'll be up for awhile yet tonight and probably be up by 8 or so. If you need to call here do so on my phone, Mom's is temporarily out of order. Hopefully I can fix it. Talk to ya soon.
There is life out there
Lu, you said you were gonna do a vegie tray. Is that still the plan? Let me know. I can do it if you don't want to. I got a few recipes for salads from some of the residents. I think I have everything covered other than the vegies so let me know. I plan on being there about 11 or so to get set up and decorate a little. I could use a couple coolers for pop and beer. I have the food figured out but could use a couple beverage coolers. Glen has ours in storage and hasn't seen them for a while. I have one but would be nice if we had a couple more. We might not need them but it would be good to have just in case. Let me know that too. I will be home all day friday getting the food ready so call me. The scanning job sounds pretty good. I did a drug screen today so they must plan on using me. I should go to bed so I can get up and get busy tomoro. I haven't heard from anyone so I have no idea who's gonna be there. I'm hoping quite a few or I'll have lots of leftovers. I told Glen to make potato salad for about 30. I hope I'm not over quessing but I'd rather have to much than not enough. Yap at ya later.

IS IT SUMMER YET?
HAPPY JUNE EVERYONE.
HEY TAMMY, I HAVE BEEN DOING THE SAME THING. IN FACT THIS MORNING WHEN I CHECKED ON THINGS I KNEW I'D COME BACK ON AND WRITE SOMETHING TODAY.
I DON'T HAVE MUCH FOR NEWS. THE JOB SEARCH CONTINUES BUT SO FAR TO NO AVAIL. THEY HAVE STARTED THE CALL BACK AT WILKIE SANDERSON BUT THAT COULD STILL BE MONTHS IF IT EVEN HAPPENS FOR ME. 3 OF US ARE GONE FROM MY DEPT. 2 PART TIMERS AND ME. ONE OF THOSE HAS A FULL TIME POS. THRU A TEMP SERVICE AND I'M GUESSING SHE'LL PROBABLLY KEEP IT. I'M LOOKING MORE FOR TEMP STUFF OR A PERMANANT JOB IN A TOTALLY DIF AREA. LIKE RESTAURANT OR KITCHEN HELP IN A HOSPITAL, NURSING HOME TYPE SETTING. I HAD A COUPLE HOPEFULS BUT IT DIDN'T HAPPEN.
MEANWHILE, NOW THAT IT'S WARMING UP A LITTLE I'VE BEEN ENJOYING THAT TOO. I GET SOPHIA ON SATURDAY AND SUNDAY. THAT'LL BE FUN.
SPEAKING OF SATURDAY, TAMMY , IS THERE ANYTHING I CAN DO TO HELP? WHAT TIME ARE YOU DECORATING OR SETTING UP? JUST LET ME KNOW. SEE Y'ALL THEN, YAPPERS. TOODLES

ANY ONE THERE?
I have checked this occassionly but it has been pretty quiet since Mother's Day. Are we all busy or just not staying in touch? Here's the latest. I have applied for a job which looks pretty good. It's Medical Records Scanner for Blue Cross/Blue Shield. It is a temporary position which starts June 29th and runs through September. I talked to the DON and scheduler today to get their input and both say go for it. So, I will take a leave of absence from the Nursing Home while I do this other job, (picking up a shift here and there on weekends to keep me in good standing). It's good timing actually cause the kids are back from college looking to pick up some hours, and they go back to school in September. So, if this scanning job doesn't go anywhere or lead me to something else, I can return to the Nursing Home. So, that is the plan for now. I haven't got the absolute yes yet from the temp job, but it sounds pretty good so far. The sucky part is I will take a pay cut, but as I said, I can pick up a shift here and there to even the finances out. They are providing 2 days of paid training, so I can decide if this is something I want to go for or not. I have til the 29th to back out and stay where I'm at so we'll see how it goes. I sent my ap in today and have to pass a background check and drug screen before I go any further but they like my background according to my resume. Enough of that. Is everyone planning on coming to Logan's grad party this Saturday? I hope so. It's spose to be a nice day. Hopefully, I'll see ya all there. Yap at ya all later.

Wow! I just remembered why I like Minnesota! this weather is georgeous!
Hey All-
I did deliver my letter of interest, transcripts and resume to the college. I almost didn't bother, cuz it looks like it is less money than I'm getting now, but I'm hoping I'm mistaken and there is something I don't know. I don't think I'll take on more responsibility for less pay. It would be nice to work close to home but... we will see what happens. I'll let you know. Thanks for the vote of confidence, Tammy. One thing about teaching elementary...I know I'm smarter than the kids I teach. College is a little scary, but I think it would be a cool change...
Well, I got 2/3 of my taxes paid, so I feel pretty good about that. Hopefully, I can cover the rest next paycheck and get that behind me. I got in the routine of claiming too many dependents and enjoying the extra income. Of course that has repercussions. Which I am feeling now:(
Tammy, sorry you didn't get the job, but the way I look at it, it happened for a reason cuz there's a better opportunity coming up for you that you would have missed had you settled for that one.
Something good is going to come Lu's way too. Just hang in there.
Lu...I got a suggestion from Krista to add you as a friend on facebook. If you haven't checked lately, open it and add me so we can chat on there too. Also, Mary Berg got ahold of me on there and explained who she was since her last name is Kelm. I kept trying to figure out if I knew a Mary Kelm.... Anyway for those of you not on Facebook yet, you may be missing out. Krista, Cody, Shayla, Mac, me and Lu have accounts now. A great way to keep in touch.... So is this though.
Gotta run. Hope all is well with everyone. Any updates on Robin, by the way? Mary Berg works at the same place. Maybe she knows her?
Love you all! -Kiash

no job transfer for me
Hello all, I just figured I would let ya all know I didn't get the HUC position. But, I pretty much knew that for awhile already. I just felt it in my gut, ya know? Oh well, I'm not mad or disappointed or anything. I honestly didn't know if I even really wanted it. It would have been nice to get some experience but I really don't know if I want to hang around there. In fact, the last couple days, I was secretly hoping I didn't get it cause it would prevent me from looking elsewhere. That probably doesn't make sense to you but that's ok. I will continue to work there while I continue to look elsewhere. There was an ad for Office Support Specialist for family services in Mille Lacs County. I applied for that, we'll see what happens. I have to lighten up on myself a little. This was the first job I applied for since finishing school. How boring would that be to get the first job I tried for? Anyway, I keep telling myself, there are many people without a job so I should be content with the one I have until something else comes around. Kathy, did you apply for that teaching job at the college? That would be right up your alley I think. You would be great at it. Good luck with that. Keep us posted on how that's going. I got an e-mail the other day informing me of a coding job. I thought, cool, they are looking for me. How awsome is that? It turned out they were looking for lead coder. Someone with two years experience. I of course replied to the e-mail, thanking her for concidering me, stating that I was entry level, and if she had anything to keep me in mind. I just can't get over that. I told Lacey about that today when she told me they went with someone else, and she said I should apply to those anyway. Maybe, they wouldn't get anyone with experience and it would be good practice for interviewing. I'm not mad at her for not hiring me, as I said, it was pretty much a no brainer, once I knew they put the ad out there. We had a nice chat. Oh well, I will continue to apply and hopefully get an interview or two and find something. It's a good thing I like my job. Too bad I'm getting too old for it. Well, I should probably go to bed. Yap at ya all later. Jennifer, where are ya?

HEY TAMMY, I GOT A LETTER FROM MARC AT WORK(THE SANDERSON PART OF WILKIE SANDERSON). IT HAS PHRASES LIKE "WE ARE SADDENED TO WRITE", AND "THESE ECONOMIC TIMES ARE A STRAIN". IT ENDS WITH A "SUGGESTION TO PERSUE OTHER PERM. CAREER OPPOTUNITIES" AND THEY "WILL SUPPLY A LETTER OF RECOMENDATION UPON REQUEST". SO, YES I DO KNOW ABOUT THE NOT CARING AT WORK-EVEN WHEN THEY PRETEND TO. I ALSO KNOW WHAT YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT WHEN YOU SAY PART OF YOU HOPES TO GET THE POS. JUST SO YOU CAN TURN IT DOWN. I WISH THE SAME THING, JUST NOT QUITE AS POLITELY AS YOU'D PROBABLY BE. SO I GUESS NOW I'LL PERSUE OTHER PERMANANT CAREER OPPORTUNITIES. I'M GOING TO ST CLOUD (AND HAVE LOTS OF TIME ON MY HANDS AT THE MOMENT) I CAN CHECK TO SEE IF THERE'S A ROLL OF SOMETHING RED WHITE AND BLUE. WHAT ELSE CAN WE DO FOR DECO.? DO WE GET ALL THE BUILDINGS TOO? KEEP ME POSTED AS TO WHAT I CAN DO TO HELP.
WELL I'M GONNA SIGN OFF FOR NOW. CATCH Y'ALL LATER.-- OH YA, RON AND SKIP BOTH SAY HI AND SEND THEIR LOVE. SEE YA SOON, LUKE

little to no hope
Well, I had my interview for the HUC position today. I think the interview went ok. I gave my spiel on how I don't have experience, but hoping they would take my work ethics and dependability into consideration when it comes time to fill the position. I hope you give me a chance. If after a couple months, you feel I am not living up to the expectations of this position, put me back on the floor. I was thanked for my honesty and then taken upstairs to do a test. The test of course was a hodge podge of the HUC responsibilities. Are you kidding me!! I have no idea how to do that stuff and I told them that 10 minutes ago in the interview. I couldn't believe it. There were two diagnoses, which I coded, but the rest was a total bomb! Thank you very much!!!Then, to top it all off, the rehab nurse has been encouraging me since I filled out the application, to hang in there, I still was in the running. I made the first cut. There were like 30 aps and they weeded them out and gave 10 interviews. Well, well, well! Guess who steps in to take the test when I finished up? That's right. The nurse! She has been helping the HUC(we have two) getting caught up the other day, I asked if she was getting trained in to get her 40 hours in cause her hours were cut. She said "Oh, I already know how to do all this stuff". Can you believe this shit? Sorry, but really!!As you can tell, I've had a tough day. When I went on the floor, I told Jessica( the current HUC), and she said "yeah, but she don't have coding, I wouldn't worry about that". Well, coding consists of looking up a diagnosis in a book and writing the 5 digit code. She's an LPN for Christ sake, I think she can figure it out. Unreal, I better get off here. Just thought I would let ya all in on my job status. So, Lu, do you see what I'm talking about when I said they don't care around there and I don't even know if I want the job anymore, even if they offered it to me? On a lighter note, the MDS nurse(she does the billing and coding now and wants to get out of the coding part) asked me how I did on the test and I told her I botched it up pretty bad and she asked me about it. I told her what I had done, and she said I did it right. So, maybe I didn't do as bad as I thought. But the rehab nurse has got me puzzled. Don't ya think she would take quite a pay cut to drop to this position? When I seen her taking the test, I said "you're applying for this?" She said, " I probably won't get it, I just figured I would apply. Try something different for a while". Something different? She knows how to do this, so what's different? Unless, she plans on doing both. I just can't believe this day. They told me they plan to wrap this up early next week and make a decision by the end of next week. It's been two weeks already since I applied, what's another 10 days of this waiting for a simple yes or no. I'm done ranting and raving now, at least on here. Thanks for listening, as if you had a choice huh? Good night. I'm guessing it will be another sleepless night for me. I know I shouldn't get so worked up over this, but I can't help but feel like I'm being played for a fool. But, I'm the one who decided to play. I'm beginning to wonder if the experience is really worth all this??? Maybe I'm getting all worked up over nothing. Maybe I'm imaging all the game playing. Let's all hope my work history stands for
A W H O L E L O T ! ! !

Hi Y'all. Nice to see the Weigel Bloggers back at it. Well, my Speech season is now over. It was a nice second job while it lasted. I hope I get on the docket next year to judge a couple times a week.
I looked online today and found that Central Lakes College (Brainerd) is hiring 3 English Professors for next year. I don't know for sure if I even fit the qualifications, but I am going to give it my best shot. Would that be cool or what? So, I am going to get my paperwork gathered, resume and letter of interest written this weekend. Ya never know.....
Keepin it short this time.....Hope all is well with all of you! Love you all...Kiash

Hello all. First off the pow-wow grounds wants $125for the day. I can't remember what I paid for Jessi's party, but that seems a little high. But, it seemed to work last time, so we'll probably have it there. As far as water goes, it's quite often under water in the spring. We have about 8 weeks or so for it to dry up. I am planning on June 13th so we should be in good shape. I'll probably start buying stuff so I don't have that huge expence later. But otherwise, I haven't really given it much thought. As far as the job goes, I am set to have an interview on Wed. I got called into Lacey's office, the director of nursing, and I was a little nervous, cuz I must admit, my attitude hasn't been real great since I wasn't automatically offered the position. Anyway, she wanted to set up an interview. I asked her why they put the ad in the paper, and she said legally she had to. Well, that's bull, cuz the one who was fired got the job automatically after she was told she couldn't work the floor anymore due to back problems. It wasn't even posted in house say nothing about being in the paper. So, I'm still a little pissy but at least I'm getting a shot. We'll see what happens I guess. To be quite honest, part of me doesn't even want it anymore, but it will be experience so I do hope I get it. But if not, I do have a job. It sucks though, cuz looking at job postings, most want experience, if my current employer wont give me a shot, who will? I guess they got about 30 aps and still coming in. Pretty sure someone has the experience their looking for. The in house posting said deadline was a week ago. I wonder what happened to that. There's that bad attitude again. Let's hope for the best. Nothing else new around here so I'll yap at ya all later.

SPRING IS COMING!!!
HI EVERYONE. LU HERE. I'M SIGNED UP NOW WITH A TEMP AGENCY BUT THERE'S NOT MUCH OUT THERE RIGHT NOW. THE ONE FIELD THAT IS HIRING IS OPTICAL AND BELEIVE IT NOT THEY ARE PAYING PRETTY MUCH THE SAME WAGE AS WHEN I LEFT OVER 10 YEARS AGO. I BASICALLY DIDN'T GET A RAISE THE WHOLE 2 YEARS I WAS THERE; OTHER THAN THE 25 CENTS I GOT GOING FROM TEMP TO HIRE. I THINK I MAKE MORE ON UNEMPLOYMENT (WHICH IS ABOUT 1/2 MY WAGES). ACTUALLY, I HAVEN'T SEEN ANY OF THAT YET EITHER. IT'S COMING THO, AND IT'S ONLY BEEN A MONTH. DOES ANYBODY THINK IT WOULD BE A GOOD IDEA TO SIGN UP W/ OTHER TEMP AGENCIES TOO? THERE ARE A BUNCH OF THEM IN ST CLOUD. I TOLD THE GAL AT PRO-STAFF THAT I WOULD TAKE 8 BUCKS AN HOUR IF THERE WAS OVERTIME. THAT'S NOT HAPPENING.
SO KATIE, HANG IN THERE. YOU'RE IN GOOD COMPANY.
TODAY I AM GOING WITH KATHY TO A SPEECH MEET. I'VE NEVER BEEN TO ONE. SHOULD BE INTERESTING.
MOM HAD A FEW WEIRD THINGS HAPPEN LATELY. TUESDAY NITE SHE GOT UP TO GO TO THE BATHROOM AND WHEN SHE LAID BACK DOWN SHE WAS DIZZY. SHE SAID IT LASTED FOR ABOUT 5 MINUTES. WHEN SHE OPENED HER EYES SHE GOT ROOM SPINS. WEDS. MORNING SHE CALLED THE HEATH HOTLINE NURSE AND SHE WANTED HER TO GO IN BUT THEN SHE CALLED HER OWN CLINIC THEY WERE LESS CONCERNED, BEING IT WAS AN ISOLATED EVENT. NO DIZZINESS SINCE. TODAY HER RIGHT LEG HURTS. I MASSAGED IT ABOVE THE KNEE AND THE MUSCLE SEEMED A LOT LOOSER BUT THE PAIN IN HER ANKLE AND ON TOP OF HER FOOT, STILL PERSISTS. WE TRIED MASSAGE AND A HEATING PAD. SHE FELT GOOD ENOUGH TO GO BOWLING, ESP. SINCE TODAY IS THE LAST DAY AND A PARTY. I TOLD HER, HER BODY IS TALKING TO HER AND SHE SHOULD REALLY START LISTENING PRETTY SOON. THIS LEG PAIN WAS A NEW TYPE OF PAIN. WHILE LYING ON HER BACK IN BED,THE MUSCLE ABOVE THE KNEE WAS VERY TIGHT AND HARD. LIKE THE KNOTS WE GET IN OUR SHOULDERS AND BACK. NOT THE CRAMPS THAT SHE FREQUENTLY GETS. SHE EATS 1/2 A BANANA IN THE MORNING AND SAYS THIS SEEMS TO HELP WITH GETTING THEM LESS OFTEN.
TAMMY HOW ARE PLANS COMING FOR LOGAN'S PARTY? IS THERE ANYTHING TO DO YET? I HAVEN'T BEEN OVER THAT WAY LATELY BUT MOM SAID THE POW WOW GROUNDS WERE UNDER WATER. HERE IN TOWN THE FOLKS THAT LIVE DOWN BY THE RIVER WERE ON EVAC ALERT.
IT SEEMS LIKE THE RIVERS (THE RED, THE MISS. AND THE SAUK) ARE STARTING TO GO BACK DOWN.
TAMMY HAVE YOU HEARD ANYTHING NEW ON THE JOB?
I HAD COUPONS FOR A FREE HAIR AND A FREE TANNING SESSION. I USED THEM YESTERDAY. MY HAIR IS SHORT AND MY FACE IS PINK! I USUALLY USE THE LITTLE TOWEL THEY GIVE ME TO COVER UP MY FACE-I DID'NT DO THAT YESTERDAY,OOPS.
I NEED TO GET ONLINE AND MAKE SOME PHONE CALLS SO I'LL YAP AT Y'ALL LATER.
SEE YA TUES AT BINGO TAM AND JESS LOVE YA

one more quarter of school!
hey how is everyone doing? I have not been on here in forever! I have been busy with school, softball and babysitting. I'm failing English right now which is not good. I need 10 more percent to pass. so I have been writing and typing tons! I am almost caught up! I cant wait till English is done. With this assignment he gave us, if we don't want to fall behind, we have to type 2 papers at least 2 pages long every night. I was busy so I fell behind. So now that I got a lot of it done, hopefully it will raise my grade up. I have till Tuesday to get it up. Other wise I have been really good, and my grades are really good. Softball started on march 9Th. Its my favorite sport and if I fail English this quarter I cant be in it anymore. So I'm kinda scared, but anyways the boys and everyone is good. Logan is busy doing his own thing. Cody is a HARD working man. He works all the time. Sam is working quite a bit to, and for me.... well I guess I'm kind of a slacker. I still don't have a job, but i keep putting in applications. I babysat Friday night and made $15 and I babysat yesterday and made $50. A little girl named Lilly comes over at least once a week. Her grandparents are our neighbor. They have her all the time because their daughter is in treatment for drugs or drinking. They are a little to old to be raising an 8 week old child on their own so we help out a lot, but I keep being told, don't get to attached to her. We don't know how long she is going to be at her grandparents house. It all depends on what happens with Katie(Lilly's Mom). It is to late though. It kinda feels like she is my little sister. That's how often she is over here. We have all kinds of things here for her. Clothes, toys, movies, books, and more, but anyways I guess I better find something to do... talk to you all later.

shcool's done for summer yeeeehaaww
I'm back. The ad for the HUC is in the St.Cloud paper today. That's kinda scary. I'm thinking if they found someone they were interested within the facility, why put an ad in the paper. Oh well, we'll see I guess. I had a tough day, kinda given up hope, thinking I didn't get it, but others don't agree with me. Hopefully, they're right and I'm making more of it than necessary. But the good news is they graded my last assignment, I got 91. Sweet! I am so excited. I finished with a final grade of 88. I don't know if there is a final overall test or not. I'm thinking not cause there's no mention of it anywhere so I think I'm done. I should get an email tomorro or so saying Congradulations. You have finished your course on Medical Billing and Coding. The last five or so things I completed, they sent me a congrats, you are one step closer to finishing you studies. Wow. I'll keep ya posted on the job thing. The in-house posting said ap deadline is 3/25 but now they put it in the paper. So who knows. Yap at ya all later.
Tuesday, March 24, 2009
Hello all, I wasn't gonna say anything until I knew for sure, but I already talked about it at bingo so I better let the rest of ya in on it. One of the HUCs was fired on Thursday and they plan on replacing her. The posting says knowledge of medical terminology and coding. Well, that pretty much is what I just finished so I applied. I just turned it in today though. So, we'll see what happens. Nothing else new. Just wanted to update everyone. Yap at ya all later. Mom won tonight. The rest of us sucked. We had the Petericks there tonight so there were about 10 of us there. Good night.

HI EVERYONE!!! LU HERE. DAVE'S NEPHEW CORY (RITA'S SON) HAD OPEN HEART SURGERY LAST MONDAY AND IS DOING FINE. HE'LL PROBABLY BE DOWN AT CHILDRENS THIS WEEK YET. HE HAD A LOT OF STUFF DONE.
THE ECONOMY HAS HIT W/S. 20 OF US GOT LAID OFF. WE ARE HOPING TO BE CALLED BACK BY END OF MAY, EARLY JUNE BUT I GUESS WE'LL WAIT AND SEE. I AM WORKING PART TIME AT CSF (CUSTOM STAINING AND FINISHING) IN WAITE PARK. ACTUALLY I SHOULD SAY TEMPORARILY, AS I AM GETTING UP TO 40 HOURS FOR NOW. I AM ALSO GETTING SOME HOURS IN AT KELBER. THE CAR SHOW STARTS IN MPLS THIS SAT THE 21ST AND RUNS FOR 8 DAYS. I'LL BE WORKING BOTH WKDS AND A COUPLE DAYS IN THE MIDDLE. I QUALIFY FOR UNEMPLOYMENT BASICALLY IF I WANT TO SETTLE FOR ABOUT HALF OF MY WAGES. SO WHILE I'M WORKING FOR CSF I'M WORKING FOR CASH AS A TEMP LABOROR AND THAT WORKS FOR BOTH OF US. KELBER THO IS A REG PAYING JOB SO IT ONLY PAYS TO WORK FOR THEM WHEN I CAN GET ALOT OF HOURS. (MORE THAN 35 IN A WEEK AT 10 BUCKS AN HOUR). IT'S INCOME ANYWAY. I WAS PRETTY LUCKY REALLY. I WAS LAID OFF ON TUES, WENT BACK IN FOR AN HOUR (PAID) ON WEDS. TO DISCUSS WHAT TO DO W/WORK STUFF,ie 401,MEDICAL,FLEX PLAN $ ETC. I WAS WORKING SOMEWHERE ELSE ON THURS.
SO TAMMY, ABOUT THE NON-MOM PHONE CALL,I HAVE YOU KATHY AND MYSELF ON HER SPEED DIAL AND I MUST HAVE BUMPED #2. SORRY I FREAKED YOU OUT-REALLY. THAT SUCKS WHEN THAT HAPPENS. AS FOR WHY I HAD HER PHONE? I HAD LEFT MINE BEHIND SOMEWHERE AND BORROWED HERS FOR THE DAY. I WAS HOPING IT WAS ACTUALLY IN MY CAR BUT NO SUCH LUCK. SOMEONE DID FIND IT AND TURNED IT IN (TO THE SALVATION ARMY) THEY CALLED ON MOM'S PHONE THAT SAME NIGHT AND I PICKED IT UP THE NEXT DAY.I HAD CALLED MY PHONE FROM HERS SEVERAL TIMES TRYING TO FIND MINE. SO THAT'S WHY THEY CALLED MOM'S # 1ST.
I STARTED A WALK EVERY DAY PLAN. I ONLY DID A FEW BLOCKS TODAY BUT HOPE TO START WALKING DURING MY LUNCH BREAK. WHEN I'M AT KELBER I GET IN LOTS OF WALKING! I'M AT MY HEAVIEST WEIGHT-EVER.(BY FAR-LIKE 15 LBS MORE THAN MY HEAVIEST GO-HAVE-A-BABY WEIGHT, YIKES!!!) INSTEAD OF SETTING MY ORIGINAL GOAL FOR 40 LBS I'M STARTING W/18. THAT WILL GET ME BACK UNDER 150.

Logan's Grad Party
Hello everyone, is this weather awsome or what? I'm cleaning windows. Inside and out, screens, blinds, the whole works. I should probably get back at it before I lose my drive. It doesn't come around very often. I bought ink yesterday so my last assignment is ready for the mail. I got a bed at the auction yesterday too. I had to go get some bolts to fasten the headboard. So I have been busy this weekend. It turned out to be quite productive. Which is pretty cool cuz I usually just sit around watching tv and doing homework. I also have Logan's grad/guard party set up for June 13. Glen wants to go out to eat when he gets done working so I better get my blinds washed and hung back up. I have 3 left to go. The ones I have done sure look good though. Smoke....ICK! Yap at ya all later.

Hi Everyone!
It's been a while, I know. Winter sucks. I am so glad we have good weather coming. It's so boring in the winter, there just isn't much to say. I've been busy with Speech. I am judging for the high school this year. It's almost done, just two more meets. We were coming to Milaca this Saturday and I was going to see if Tammy would be home and visit for a while, but because Little Falls is rocking this year in sports and are in the State Hockey tournaments, many of the Speech kids who are also in Band will be in the cities, so we cancelled our participation in the Milaca meet and are going to St. Francis next Saturday. The Flyers had three of their teams go to state this year! Wow!
I'm still entertaining the idea of going to a warmer climate to teach, but frankly haven't been offered a job anywhere yet. I am starting to get a little worried about it anyway with the economy the way it is, I would be the first to be let go when they cut back. Also, I have a set curriculum for the first time and my job is getting a lot easier. So I am thinking maybe I should stay where I am for a couple more years. But nothing is set in stone. I guess I'll wait and see.
Our state governement is planning to put a wage freeze on us this year, so we'll see what happens with that and with our district and the negotiations.
I finally painted some canvases for the living room-a colorful, seemingly random, abstract montage complete with the little mirror chips that I got from Jess for Christmas and glow in the dark stars. I think it will be cheerful. I am going to create some kind of mirror mosaic to complete the set too. I think we'll like it.
Finally got a new dishwasher installed here. Been waiting for it since I moved in.
Also bought a car two weekends ago as the Escort was on its last leg. It set me back financially for a month or two, but I needed to do it. Sold the Escort last weekend to someone who knew all about its problems but wanted to fix it. Cool.
I know I said there was nothing to say...I guess what I meant was that there is nothing earth-shattering to share.
Hope all is well with everyone. Have a super weekend.
P.S. Anyone going to Deb's surprise party? I wasn't planning to cuz I had the speech meet, but now that it's been cancelled, I will give it another thought.

Hello all, just thought I would come on and say hi. This hasn't been very active lately, are we all froze up or just nothing worth sharing? I fall into the last catagory. Anyway, because of the icky weather on Tuesday, we opted not to go play bingo and I finished up my last assignment. I was quite excited to get it sent off in the mail(finally), only to remember I have no ink so I couldn't print it out. Oh well, it's done! I'll run to St. Cloud this weekend and get some ink and mail it off. I ended up having to redo both research assignments that I have been putting off forever. But I passed the second time around and am still sitting at 88. So I am quite pleased with that. But, as I have decided earlier, I will be staying put as far as work goes. The work field doesn't look to promising right now. I am still hoping to get put to work within the nursing home, although they just laid off a care manager yesterday, so I'm pretty sure they won't be adding a new position at this point. Either way, I'm staying put. Nothing new besides finishing school. It's spose to be in the 40's all next week. YeeHa! I still haven't done anything about Logan's grad party, probably will have it at the Pow Wow grounds. That seemed to work out good for Jessi's. I just have to make a call. Maybe I'll go do that now. I'll come back and let you all know when I get something figured out. Yap at ya later.

Wisdom teeth are all done!
Hey again.
So I got my wisdom teeth pulled yesterday. And it really hasn't been all that bad. I'm trying to talk as little as possible since my gums stopped bleeding. I really don't want them the start up again. But I don't feel too much pain. I haven't used the pain meds at all. Which is great, because then I can save them till something painful happens to me, since I'm officially uninsured as of next week.
But anyway, all is well. I'll probably make some phone calls tomorrow or the day after. I haven't talked to Lu or Mom for a while and I usually call at least once a week. So I'll get right on that as soon as I'm sure my mouth is heeled.
And the cleanse is still A. O.K. I come off of it tomorrow. But it'll be gradual. Just fruit juice and veggie soup for a day, then I slowly add things in.
Hope all is well for everyone else. The weather must have warmed up considerably since no one has been on here this week.

Foodless in Seattle
Hey everybody~
So foodless isn't because I can't afford food since the economy is bad, though that's a partially realistic possibility. I'm actually doing the Master Cleanse this week. Which is going pretty well. You spend a max. of 10 days not eating any food, but just drinking a lemonade mixture that you make yourself at home. And I know it sounds crazy and impossible, but it actually has enough nutrients in it to sustain you for the full 10 days, or longer if you want to. And the point is to get all the toxins out of your body, as well as to break free the hardened, mucus-crud that lines your intestines. It's a great feeling to get rid of things in your body that have always been there and never would have gone anywhere if you didn't do something big like this. So today is day 6, I feel normal. I've felt normal the whole time. And I work pretty hard and about 50 hours a week and I've been able to fully carry out my job, heavy lifting and all. So this lemonade really is sustaining me, no doubt about it.
I'm treating this as a transition into a healthy lifestyle. It's suddenly very important to me that I only put good things into my body, or at least mostly good things. I've always been a good 15-25 pounds over my recommended weight for height and age, which I know isn't a huge deal, but I'm in love with the idea of my body being exactly what it should be. So now it's on to the super duper good stuff. Raw fruits and veggies, whole grains, legumes, nuts, seeds, beans, soy and tofu products, and organic red wine. I'm going to allow myself only three guilty pleasures a week, which are all probably going to be cheese related. And I feel like for the most part, this is going to be pretty easy. I figure if I can go 10 days without any food at all, I can do anything. And I just read this book called "Skinny Bitch" which really kicked my butt in gear. And of course there will be a lot of walking involved. And Seattle is an amazing place for walking with it's beautiful scenery and steep hills, which will get me in the right shape for this summer.
So that's been the focus of my life lately. Like I said I'm working a lot. Mostly busing tables at a busy restaurant, but I've learned to love it. And Seattle gets better every day. Plus I have an awesome road trip and another amazing summer to look forward to.
I'm coming home soon. End of February for about 5 days. I think some Shang-hi is in order. Possibly a little bingo at the casino as well. And hopefully it's not -40 degrees. I hope I'll get to see you all, cause my last visit felt really really short.
I'm sorry to hear about Robin, I'm sure I've probably met her, but I don't remember.
I'm really glad the weather warmed up for all of you. I'm really looking forward to coming home. Winters on the way out and Spring is nearly here. It's a darn good thing February is the shortest one!
Miss you all,
Shayla
