job search

Tammy- ya never know about the job. Maybe you'll get it afterall? Let us know. I've been looking. I've been like a teenager. Full of angst. I don't know if I want to stay around here or venture out. I just don't have the patience to stick around here and make snail-slow progress of catching up bills. I've been looking on line for good-paying teaching jobs. I had been thinking of going east, but the pay is just too low. So.....
I'm on the 4th stage of the application process for Clark County School District in Nevada. It's the fastest growing district in the country and they are recruiting from all over the country. The pay is good, the incentives are good and the benefits are awesome! The housing seems reasonable from what I've seen.
Benefits include: No state tax, no sales tax, no local taxes. District pays my social security, my health insurance, vision insurance and dental insurance. They also pay my retirement fund-which is huge! They have the best retirement program in the country.
So far, I have sent a form indicating my credentials and interest. Then They sent me a password to get into the application site. I filled that out (all 11 pages of it) and submitted it. They have now contacted me via email, I called them, and I have an interview set up for April 13th at the Embassy Suites in Minneapolis.
I'm a little scared about it, and all of this stuff, but I am anxious to make a change in my life, now that the kids are grown. EEEEKS!
I will report back when I know more. I have to get all my forms in order in the next couple weeks. And work on my speel of why they can't get along without me:)
E-talk at ya later- Kiash

So I am apparently commenting to individual posts - where am I going wrong?
